Need advice/tip to adventure

Hello

I have a large campaign I am making but I am stuck at the end , when a small rebel unit have to find a way to escape a blockaded planet. The empire have the planet locked down by air and land and hunts them on the ground. Forcing the rebel unit to hide in the severs. But they need an good idea to escape. Any one have some ideas or plots on how to let them escape the planet.

Only two thoughts come to mind:

  1. if any traffic is still allowed to leave the planet, smuggle themselves off somehow
  2. commandeer an Imperial vessel and try to make a break for it

You can give various flavors to both, but that's what it boils down too. Another possibility is to wait it out; if the party can stay underground long enough for the Imperial forces to move on, they could slip through the slackening grip. Another possibility is for them to fake a getaway, tricking the Empire into diverting attention to chase the decoy so they can slip away on a commercial transport.

Maybe they steal 2 ships, set one to autopilot or remote and use it to distract while they fly off in another direction.

 

Bribe their way off world.

 

Have an adventure to help the family member of an Imperial officer or local official that could get them safe passage.

 

Set a trap for some storm troopers. Knock them out. Steal their ship. Make a break for it.

 

Hide in a shipment heading off world. Perhaps they make their way from the sewer to a fertilizer plant or farm that is shipping off manure. I like the idea of a group having to hide in a container of alien animal waste. The shipment might be scanned as the officials don't want to get close enough to smell it or figure no one would be crazy enough to hide there.

 

Hack a distress beacon to lure off just enough ships they could get away.

 

Turn themselves in, then escape.

 

Create a computer virus/reprogram a bunch of droids to launch every ship they can at once. Overwhelm the blockade with targets.

 

Buy some stealth ship tech.

 

Stumble upon a group making drugs/selling weapons/something illegal that the PCs could do a job for in exchange for passage off world with the next shipment.

 

Kidnap an Imperial official/trooper and make their way off world with the hostage.

 

Fake their deaths, wait a bit, then escape.

 

Just wait it out, but while doing so they get entangled in some crazy adventures in the wilderness or get caught up with some criminal elements that threaten to turn the PCs in if they don't help them with some illegal stuff.

I will go for this one:

Story Part 6

Players are trying to rescue or smuggle out a rebel commando team that have vital info about a death star the empire is creating.

The empire is aware about their stolen info and are doing everything to stop that info from leaving the planet.

Players have just rescued a sullustan smuggeler from an imperial prison after a daring raid resulting in heavy close combat and casualties. The smuggler have a secret ship on the planet they can use since the docks are to heavily guarded and secure. But the blockade is to strong and they need to hack into the imperial flight tower to try to blind/mislead the empire on the planet. So then they will fly by land to one of the poles of the planet where the blockade is thinnest.

They will mask the signature of the ship and this will hold until they enter orbit. The sulustan smuggler has some fast jump coordinates that may take them away from the planet before the empire have time to stop their escape.

They might be in time to meet up with Leia and give her the info. But then again Lord Vader is not stupid and will arrive just after the players have left. And then it starts as the first star wars movie started in episode 4. Darth Vader hunting Leia in his ISD.....

Don't forget, a lot of bothans need to die to bring her that information

The story is a realy good one acutally. It is like a forrest gump space movie. Players operate just before episode 4.

They interact with many of the charackters from the movie. and are a part of the people who give the information to Leia.

It will be available for download from boardgamegeek when i can finnish it....going on on 52 pages already.....
