I would fly Jax with IV and AT

Motivation, his pilot ability allies him with every other ship making him less probable target. The best evade is not being shot at ;)

Or annoys all 9 opponents and becomes target number one. In my experience Everyone hates Jax except the guy flying him!

VI Luke is an unappealing target. VI PTL refit Jake is really slippery and will move after most if not all. Lacks a punch but that's probably less an issue than staying alive in a FFA.

 

Well yeah, when you fly Jax you are bound to piss some one of :P

Anyhow I still think if you can make adjacent targets juicier they might feel the punishment instead of that slippery interceptor.

Kir Kanos, Targeting Computer, Autothrusters, Royal Guard title.

 

Fel's Wrath might actually be fun, you always shoot, even if you are killed, which in a single ship environment could function as a deterrent.

 

Do not take Carnor Jax, Zertik Strom or any ship with Mara Jade, you'll instantly become the focus of so much hate the Emperor would cackle in orgasmic delight.

I like Lone Wolf a lot here... 

 

Turr with Lone Wolf and Auto Thrusters?

 

He gives you a high PS to arc dodge with, Autothrusters for the annoying amount of turrets you may see, and is hard enough to hit to discourage early attackers.  He also isn't quite the immediate threat guys like Wedge would be.

 

Or if you want to come in second place... 

 

K-Wing with C3p0 and advanced slam will work great until you actually have to kill something.

 

Darth Vader with title and advanced sensors (to avoid the pile of blocking that will happen).  His PS lets you arc dodge well, and his adv sensors means you always can have focus evade.

 

Sigma Squadron Phantom with Sensor Jammer.  Cloak.  Do not decloak until your 4 attack dice can turn the tide.  

 

Jake Ferral with Lone Wolf, Title, PTL, Autothrusters, Chandran.

Royal Guard instead of Turr nets you a Stealth Device or Hull Upgrade as well...

Commander Alozen  in the TIE/x1 with Lone Wolf, Twin Ion Engine Mark II, and Advanced Targeting Computer.

 

You get an auto Target Lock on someone at Range 1 so you either Evade or Focus.  The Advanced Targeting Computer gives you an extra Crit if you don't spent your Target Lock, which you don't need to because Lone Wolf gives you a ghetto Target Lock anyway.  So at Range 1 you get 3 Attack plus a Crit that you can re-roll once with maybe a Focus.

Was a lot of fun ... there were a lot of a-wings with lone wolf, auto thrusters and push the limit.

 

Juno Eclipse won

 

I got 3rd in a Y wing with Ion turret and cluster bombs.

 

 

The game rules were easy the older you were the higher your ini.

Every one flew onto the play field from a different point and couldn't shoot in the first round.
I got to the centre of the asteroids as quick as i could (hitting people with ION on the way)

Those that were ionised became easy targets for the others

Once I was in the middle i dropped my first Cluster mine to block any shortcuts.

 

Then I Ionised a few other ships any all of a sudden an a-wing was right behind me

Time for the second cluster mines and a 1 manoeuvre

the A got through cluster mines but took an ion and died.

 

 

In the second to last round i was looking good with a full health Y

until I miss judged an asteroid by 1mm and the small nipple on the front of my Y landed on the asteroid (I lost 1 shield  and no action or shot)

 

Juno landed 3 crits 1 went through and it was double damage

then some  A boosted into range 1 and finished me off

 

After that Juno 1 shooted the A and it was game over
