Modifying Dice with Sensor Team, Warlord Question and Double Hits

Recommended Posts

Hello Fleet Admirals

I just wanted some clarification on modifying dice and Warlord.

Example:

I have a Victory Class II with Warlord, Sensor Team and Leading Shots

If I roll a two blank dice. With sensor team I can spend 1 die to change another die to the "Accuracy" Icon.

From there can I "Modify" the die I just changed to an accuracy to a hit icon as per warlord?

Second question to this.

Can I change the Accuracy Icon to a double hit wth Warlord? (Like how screed can change a black dice to a hit.)

Looking at the RRG I can't see anything stopping me from doing this.

Can someone comfirm this and clarify this before I try my list out with this combo.

Thank you everyone!

Thank you!

Oh I forgot to put this in. Thank you for reminding me.

Example:

I roll the dice. Then spend 1 dice to re-roll as many or a little dice as possible. From there I spend a blank die or any die to change to an accuracy and then to a double hit.

The question was can I modify the dice like asked above after re-rolling to which I am assuming I will be allowed to

Yes, there's no rule against rerolling or modifying a die as many times as you want - provided an effect allows you to do so, of course. Dice only become "unchangeable" when they are removed from the pool, e.g. by spending them. When you spend an Accuracy icon to cancel a defense token, that die is out of the pool. So you couldn't then reroll it (or Warlord it) to fish for a hit. Likewise for hits spent with Precision Strike. It's all pretty intuitive, but I thought I'd mention it for completeness.

Warlord + H9s also work well together. Also effective in the AAA role.

One of my favourite VSD builds. Can run it just VSD1/Warlord/H9 if you're on a budget, while you can look at some mix of Intel Officer, Gunnery Team and Tractor Beams when you've got points to spare.

I thought, while you could modify a die as many times as you like, you could only reroll it once?

Also, a timing question - if someone makes me reroll a double hit red and I get an accuracy, can I now target a different token or has that chance passed?

From the rules reference:

Modifying Dice

Dice can be modified in the following ways by game effects:

Reroll: When a die is rerolled, the attacker picks it up and rolls it again. A die can be rerolled multiple times.

You need different effects, as while can only trigger once. For example a concentrate fire token, Vader and Leading Shots.

No, too late*. You can spend accuracy icons during the Modify Dice step only. By the time you've been forced to reroll it by an Evade*, you're already at the Spend Defense Tokens step so your chance has passed.

*: Of course, if a future card effect lets your opponent force you to reroll your dice during the Modify Dice step, then yes, you can still spend those accuracies.
