First Comp: List Advice

Have my very first Armada comp next Sunday. Tossing up which list to run. Any comments and criticisims are most welcome.

I got this Rebel list:

You rebel list, while nice, has one big flaw: if you go 2nd and your opponent picks hyperspace assault...what do you plan on doing?

Probably put the corvette and a squadron on Y-Wings off?

What about the Gladiator list?

Gladiator list is very solid. Maybe replace Mithel with Rhymer.

I looked over what you have.  I really can't add to what Green Knight has said.  Just wanted you to know that you're not being ignored.

I might run the Gladiators then.

I would drop a Y-Wing and add Flight Controllers on the AFII    (more fire power for a lesser cost)

With points left either add Adar Tallon on AFII (Fleet - 299)       (Makes up for dropping fighter and gives flexability)

or change Corvette to CR90 B with Overload Pulse & Engine Techs (Fleet - 300) 

Change Hyperspace Assault to Fleet Ambush.

Sorry put wrong fleet value, been working on some 400 point fleets and just had that in my head, but my suggestions are for 300

So took the Gladiators and came last. The comp had 6 players and nearly all of the other Imperial lists were at their core the same; a Victory and 2 Gladiators. One guy run a carrier list with 2 Victories, another couple used 2 Victories and a Gladiator.

It was tough and my list was not very good.

I need to figure out something better for the next comp. Not sure when Wave 2 will reach Australia exactly. I had hear mid November but after the Massing at Sullust disappointment, I am not holding my breath.

I was thinking a Rebel carrier list to deal with the mass of Victories?
