Kiwi Rat 538 Posted October 5, 2015 The Jedi and Dark Jedi characters in Star Wars has some cool skills due to their connection to the Force, but which Non-force user characters are just as cool or badass in your oppinion? My top 3 list is as following: 1) Wedge Antilles 2) Admiral Ackbar 3) Han Solo So which is on your top 3 list?
BiggsIRL 6,717 Posted October 5, 2015 (edited) 1) Wedge Antilles "They're going to put that on your grave, you know. 'Wedge Antilles, he couldn't lose even when he tried.'" "Come on, Jacen, you know I had nothing to do with (the attempted assassination of the Queen of Hapes)" "Well, we haven't started trials yet, but if you want to start planning a defense, now is as good a time as any..." "No, you know I wasn't involved. Because if I was, we would have succeeded." 2) Grand Admiral Thrawn Vote Thrawn for Emperor in 2016 - Studying the art of terrorists, to keep YOU safe! 3) Biggs Darklighter (actual answer: Gilead Paellon) A survivor like Wedge, but a reasonable and flawed character in position of power, in a Galaxy of larger than life heroes and villains. kami689 156 Posted October 6, 2015 Mine would have to be: 1) Thrawn He is still my favorite villain from legacy. If it were not for those traitorous Noghri, Thrawn would have reestablished the glory of the empire. 2) Boba Fett Most badass bounty hunter there ever was. He doesnt use the force, he just uses force. 3) Wedge The only person who assaulted both death stars and lived to tell the tales.
Alpha17 2,853 Posted October 6, 2015 (edited) 1) Thrawn Well, he's Thrawn, so there's really nothing else to say. 2) Pellaeon Starts out as a stock Imperial character, and grows into something far much more. Still very much an Imperial, but he represented what the Empire should have been. 3) Wedge Kills include (but not limited to): Two Death Stars, a few SSDs, a billion and half TIES, and the capture of Coruscant. He also a great character to see transition, from a lowly Wing Commander, all the way to a senior General, commanding fleets. (I'd still love to see an EU/Legends book, game, or comic show the final campaigns against the Empire, including the Reaper vs Lusankya fight. Be great to show Wedge learning to command fleets, and Pellaeon win a few battles). Edited October 6, 2015 by Alpha17

Alpha17 2,853 Posted October 7, 2015 No one has mentioned Jar Jar? There's a very good reason for that. Mostly, it has to do with people doing their best to forget Jar Jar ever existed.
kami689 156 Posted October 7, 2015 Because Jar Jar belongs to the top 3 Un-coolest character list No, Jar Jar belongs in a wooden box, which is then locked inside a metal box, which is then chained and welded shut, which is then hurled into space towards a distant sun (can't hurl it towards our sun as it would corrupt our sun). I don't like Jar Jar much.... 1 Eagle128 reacted to this

Kiwi Rat 538 Posted October 8, 2015 It is very trendy to Hate on Jar Jar. No its compulsory to Hate Jar Jar. And its compulsory for any Jar Jar Lover out there to be locked into the same wooden box with Jar Jar. And they will only be let out, after they have strangled Jar Jar, which will happen eventually...its unavoidable...it is his destiny... But can we talk about cool guys again, before any of us is gets reported for Jar Jar abuse by Disney

Green Knight 9,732 Posted October 8, 2015 (edited) Ep IV+V brought us comic relief in the form of R2 and 3PO. Ep VI suddenly had... Ewoks. Not funny at all (except that one scene where a SINGLE Ewok dies as a result of fighting an entire legion of the Emperor's finest troopers). You see where this is going? Jar Jar is only the natural conclusion to the evil that was already present in Return of the Jedi. To further illuminate you, let me quote somebody small and green: Once you start down the dark path, forever it will dominate your destiny, consume you it will. Jar Jar is the ultimate expression of the power of the Dark Side: able to corrupt an entire universe and nearly ruin the finest far-away, long-time-ago franchise in existence. And he's not even a force-user!!! ... tremble before the might of the Dark Side of the Force... Edited October 8, 2015 by Green Knight
Lyraeus 4,759 Posted October 8, 2015 Favorite Non-Force users. . . hmmmmm R2-D2 They had to censor EVERYTHING he said. What a guy! ^_~ Thrawn I want to be just like him when I grow up Wicket Best character in a while 1 DarthBadger6 reacted to this
Squid89 86 Posted October 8, 2015 Chewbacca can do it all. R2-D2 can do everything else. Lando is just the coolest. Bossk would make my top four if I can bend the rule of three a bit. I do find it amusing that people are irritated with JarJar but ok with Threepio and baby Anakin (wizard!). There have always been comic relief, annoying, whining characters in the movies, it is part of the charm. Without JarJar, Palpatine would not have had his legal powers and there would be no Empire. Pretty badass.
Vykes 1,927 Posted October 8, 2015 1.) Lando Calrissian 2.) Han Solo 3.) Admiral Piette (If would be Jerjerrod if they kept the 'inner conflict' scene in Jedi. I prefer characters who aren't morally black and white. He just edges out both Tarkin and Wedge for 3rd place) Dras mate, how long does a thing have to be consistent for before it passes from trendy to defacto normal? 17 years? It makes me a little morose because I actually like Jar Jar's physical design but that's it. He remains the only individual who can entirely kill the tone of a movie supposedly about genocide, politics, and mass destruction. Slapstick+ethnic cleansing... edgy. *(Taun We and the Kamino...ites, being the most appealing design in the prequel movies, and Bothans and Thakwaa being my favourite outside. Ther's nothing inherently wrong with the Gungans in my books, but there's plenty wrong with Binks).

NSeeger 15 Posted November 9, 2015 I would agree with Wedge (2) and Paellon (3) but for the 3rd i would have to say Bail Organa (1) because he tried to stand against the emperor for the Chancellor position and than proceded to try to fight him in the Senate at every turn during the clone wars and along with Mon Mothma (and a few others) started the Rebellion. Forgottenlore 9,838 Posted November 10, 2015 (edited) I'm not going to try and list a top 3 because there are just too many to narrow down, but I did want to mention that Hondo is pretty high on the list, much more cooler of a scum character than any of the bounty hunters from Empire. RogueCorona 1,043 Posted November 10, 2015 (edited) Han, Wedge, and, Pellaeon Ackbar spends too much time whining about criminals who risk their lives aiding the rebellion and how they shouldn't be allowed to help the Alliance (The section of the minutes from a meeting where the Minster of Supply puts Ackbar in his place over the issue was one of my favorite cutscenes from the WEG books.) Though I thought his appearance is Destiny's Way, his last hurrah in Legends, was awesome and did a great job showing why he was made the CO of the Alliance fleet. Hondo is great and definitely my favorite character introduced in TCW. I still hope he becomes a rebel privateer if and when the rebellion starts employing privateers in canon. I think that would be a great way for a last period of adventure for him while working towards setting up a retirement because IMO he seems old enough that retirement has to be something he is at least considering. AverageBoss 233 Posted November 10, 2015 Would Mother Talzin count? I think she claimed to have no actual connection to the force and even tried to steal the force connection of others. I might be remembering wrong. Thrawn most certainly. Hondo is also a solid yes. Mother Talzin might be here depending on weather she actually is a force user or not.
