Admiral Ackbar, CR90 B, and Concentrate Fire

I don't see anything in the rules that prohibits this, but wanted to verify the following:

1 - Can a CR90 B (which has only blue dice) declare an attack at long range and gain two Red dice from Admiral Ackbar?

2 - Can the CR90B then add a Red dice from a Concentrate Fire Command?

1)  No.  Ackbar adds to the Dice Pool.  If you follow the attack steps, you will find you will Gather your Attack Pool, and if you are out of range (because you're at Red Range and only have Blue Dice), then As you have no Dice in your Attack Pool, Your Attack Is Cancelled, and you have no attack to add to.

 

2) As above.

 

 

Adding to a pool does allow you to add Shorter Ranged dice to a longer ranged attack, but you must have the Attack to Qualify first.
