awayputurwpn 7,720 Posted October 2, 2015 (edited) Sarone, just need to know if Sal is accelerating to 1, or punching it to speed 2-3, with your maneuver. Edit: I'll assume it's just an Accelerate maneuver since that doesn't incur any system strain. Edited October 2, 2015 by awayputurwpn
awayputurwpn 7,720 Posted October 2, 2015 The pilots all around the track punched their accelerators, still jockeying for position. (they are collectively using their maneuver to punch it to speed 3, and their action to reduce 1 system strain) Next PC please! Lotr_Nerd 67 Posted October 3, 2015 The Wookiee watches the start of the race with a passing fancy, as he watches Gralrrua looks amused but bored most of these competitions are decided by a combination of skill and cheating. The Hutt racer catches his interest since it is rare to see a Hutt race a swoop himself, with a yawn of boredom he turns around and scans the VIP box for someone looking for a custom built droid or something less challenging. OOC: I don't know if I would make a perception check here or something else.
awayputurwpn 7,720 Posted October 3, 2015 Sure! Please make an Easy Perception check
awayputurwpn 7,720 Posted October 3, 2015 Also please upgrade the difficulty (spending a Destiny Point). So that's 1 Challenge die total.
Lotr_Nerd 67 Posted October 3, 2015 As the Wookiee listens to the crowd he is unable to pick up any conversation in which someone states that they are looking for a droid or any modified weaponry. This disappoints Grallrrua who settles in to watch the race, but he keeps his ears open for any signs of trouble or business, the debts he has incurred weigh heavily upon him as he considers how he can pay back the Bankng Clan. OOC: 1eP+1eA+1eC: 0 successes, 2 advantage [1eP=S/A] [1eA=A] [1eC=F] Could I use my two advantages to overhear which racers are likely to be cheating? awayputurwpn 7,720 Posted October 4, 2015 (edited) It is already pretty clear to the party that the Weequays are set up to win by cheating, so here is a little something extra... "...recently discovered the the remains contained...well-preserved...carbonite," Chulba the Hutt was quietly telling his aide. "The Weequays ... have the race in the bag, but, I'll be ... to the Empire myself. What use can swoop riders have with a frozen Jedi?" At this point the racers would be rolling a Simple (-) Piloting (Planetary) check with 1 setback die, but I'm blowing my last two dark side Destiny Points and upgrading each piloting checks once, so the final difficulty pool is . Gormo and Sal, please roll your competitive Piloting checks now! Edited October 4, 2015 by awayputurwpn 1 Sarone reacted to this

Gormo and Sal, please roll your competitive Piloting checks now! Simple Piloting: 1eA+2eB+1eD+1eS 2 successes, 1 threat Gormo's swoop blasts down the track. Even though he is completely untrained and unsuited for racing, a combination of the swoop's excellent handling and some fast reflexes by Gormo allow him to weave in and around his nearby racers in a display of showmanship. The crowd roars. But....(how does GM want to spend the threat?) Edit: My suggestion on the threat would be that Gormo becomes so focused on the race that he ignores the other racers, and if anyone tries messing with him directly they gain a boost die due to his distraction. Sarone 240 Posted October 5, 2015 Barreling down the track, Sal keeps his head down, keeping a look out for an opening and hopeful break from the rest of the other racers. Competitive Piloting Check: 2eA+1eP+1eD+1eS 2 successes I also forgotten about the boost die. Rolling that now. Boost to the Pilot Check: 1eB 0 successes Didn't add anything, but didn't kill me either. I am at two successes.

awayputurwpn 7,720 Posted October 7, 2015 Yes, Gormo takes 1 system strain. In a great cloud of dust (and smoke from some of the ill-maintained swoops), the racers were off. They roared to full speed as fast as they could, easily overtaking the heroes and Mijj Terrion. Surprisingly, no one crashed in the takeoff, of which the crowd was noticeably disappointed—starting line collisions were a fan favorite in this sector. Racing - Round 1: 3eP+2eA+1eC+2eD+1eS 3 successes
awayputurwpn 7,720 Posted October 7, 2015 (edited) Mijj Terrion gunned her swoop to life, finding a pace with Gormo and Sal. She ignored the two heroes, focusing instead on maintaining a good forward trajectory, and watching for any antics ahead that would impede her victory. Racing - Round 1: 3eP+1eA+1eS 2 successes, 3 advantage New round! First 3 PCs please! You are both travelling at speed 1, as is Mijj. The other racers are out ahead of you. Nimsim 671 Posted October 7, 2015 You may spend a Destiny Point to make it "that kind of race," and those kinds of antics would absolutely require a Piloting action It'd be an opposed Piloting check (). PM has been sent to Wes. I was hoping since Gormo was trying to physically reach over and smash at another swoop that I could use Athletics or Brawl, but I'll go with piloting. I spend one destiny point to make it THAT kind of race. Opposed Piloting Roll: 1eA+2eB+2eC 1 failure Gormo fails the roll to mess with another craft. He swerves his swoop at one of the other racers, but completely misjudges the distance and swerves into clear space. Gormo curses and shakes his fist at the other swoop pilot as they laugh at him from nearby. Gormo spends a Maneuver to Punch It!, taking his swoop up to Speed 2 and suffering 2 System Strain to his swoop. He blasts forth, keeping pace with the other racers. Gormo should be at Speed 2 and have 3 System Strain. 1 awayputurwpn reacted to this
awayputurwpn 7,720 Posted October 7, 2015 Gormo pulled ahead with the other racers, matching their speed through sheer tenacity. You can take your turn...and if you like, a Combat check might be appropriate at this juncture. Any clone-quarters combat is automatically upgraded twice (so two challenge dice), while ranged combat checks are upgraded once. 1 Sarone reacted to this
Jedi Ronin 1,588 Posted October 7, 2015 (edited) Wes walked back inside, looking about for the huddled and excited groups of spectators that were most racous. "Ah, that's it." Wes thought as he moved closer. A group of cheering fans. And at the center a lone Gran sat staring intently at the race track and a datapad in his hand that tracked statistics of the race and the racers with one racer highlighted. Not just a spectator but someone with a keen interest. Wes walked close by, seeming to speak to a friend in the next group of spectators, loud enough to be heard by the Gran. "You won't believe it, the green swoop is sabotaged. It gets to top speed and kaboom!" Wes laughed, waving downstretched hand, subtly influencing the mind of the Gran to make his comment more believable... Influence Check (Destiny point to upgrade pool) [/url]: 2eP+1eA+2eD+1eF 3 successes, 1 Dark Side So, with no Destiny point to spend to use the DS...it's a Failure (oops) Edited October 7, 2015 by Jedi Ronin

Nimsim 671 Posted October 13, 2015 (edited) Gormo pulls his swoop in line with one of the the racer known as "Rash". Gormo bellows out a challenge, and the Rash glances over just in time to see a large meaty fist covered in shining brass knuckles coming directly at their face. Close Combat/Brawl Check: 2eC+3eA+1eP+1eF 2 successes, 1 advantage, 1 Dark Side Gormo's fist connects directly with Rash's face, dealing 7 damage and bloodying Rash's nose, or whatever their species' equivalent would be. The crowd roars with excitement, and anyone rooting for Gormo can feel the rush. The other racers all maneuver to get some distance from the Hutt, leaving a possible opening. I spend my advantage to grant a Boost Die to the next Allied character to go. Edited October 13, 2015 by Nimsim
