Lyraeus 4,759 Posted September 21, 2015 The point of this list. . . Well B-Wings and Assault Frigates to move them around. Tycho and the A-Wing squadron are in here to assist in clearing the way as well as pushing in for a bit extra damage. Setup: This is important, very very important. You setup by placing 3 squadrons to a ship, the B-Wings want to be on the side closest where you expect the opponent come in so that you can launch them in and deal the most damage. +++ The B Whale roll (298pts) +++ + Assault Frigate MkII (215pts) + Assault Frigate Mark IIB (120pts) [Advanced Projectors (6pts), Enhanced Armament (10pts), Gunnery Team (7pts), •Garm Bel Iblis (25pts)] Assault Frigate Mark IIB (95pts) [Advanced Projectors (6pts), Enhanced Armament (10pts), Gunnery Team (7pts)] + Squadrons (83pts) + A-Wing Squadron (11pts) B-Wing Squadron (14pts) B-Wing Squadron (14pts) B-Wing Squadron (14pts) B-Wing Squadron (14pts) •Tycho Celchu (16pts) + Objectives + Assault Objective [Precision Strike] Defense Objective [Fire Lanes] Navigation Objective [intel Sweep]
shmitty 3,115 Posted September 21, 2015 It's a solid list for sure, but you will be at a disadvantage against 3-4 ship builds. It's not insurmountable as you have 2 resilient ships, but it could force you into some difficult situations. Oh and Garm doesn't work well with Precision Strike as you lose out on the free tokens from the objective.

I will be at a disadvantage but the capacity to possibly drop an opponents ship in a single round of attacks. . . It is scary
corlinjewell 34 Posted September 22, 2015 Just watch out if you go second. Any three-four ship builds will be able to move in (with say a Demolisher), get one good shot in after it moves, then next turn get two more shots in at close range before you can do anything. Lyraeus 4,759 Posted September 22, 2015 I am thinking of dropping an Enhanced Armaments and putting XI7's in its place. This will work best on the flag ship and put me at 294 which I highly doubt people will go below
Akhrin 567 Posted September 22, 2015 With the speed of B-Wings anticipating your opponent's movement will be important, but some of the objectives will help with that (Intel Sweep and Fire Lanes can help dictate where they want to go). Does mean if your bidding for first player you'll have to aim for one of your opponent's objectives that steers them where you want to go.

The great thing about B-Wings is that their speed keeps them in medium range if you know how to maneuver right
