maverikid 15 Posted November 27, 2015 (edited) Gael was in the middle of tending a burn he got from some darned frayed wires when he heard his cue over the comlink. "Gael here. The ship is doing fine, I guess." Gael reached over to the controls and attempted to get the engines running. Over the comlink he was sure everyone could here the waning of the engines and the way they didn't start up. He leaned back in his chair and tried to change the subject. "How's everybody doing?" As he said this, Gael walked over to the access panel and tried to see what was wrong with the ship. It was a simple energy use problem he realized, and began to take out his tools. OtterJethro 58 Posted November 28, 2015 Tahiri steps over to the Droid. "Let me see that tool kit you carry with you Hal, This power coupling is looking loose. I can secure it for the time being but it will need more serious attention later." Tahiri reaches down and secures the the power coupling for the time being. 1eP+2eA+1eD: 2 successes, 1 advantage [1eP=S/S] [2eA=S, A/A] [1eD=F/Th] I don't recall all the specifics of what I can do with the successes and advantage but that is the roll. I know he can recover two wounds and I don't remember what the advantage can do.

Crazy Aido 139 Posted November 29, 2015 (edited) You're not entirely sure it's the windows or the apple sound that H4L's chassis makes when all the sparking stops, but eventually the ugly rustbucket hauls itself back up. "Who's alive? Not me. Machine to the processing core right here." It taps itself reliably on the shoulder. Then realises the the damage that has been done. "Those scum sucking parasite sacks!" It starts lifting itself up. "When I'm done with them they won't know which end to make nuggets out of and which to make hot dogs!" maverikid 15 Posted November 30, 2015 (edited) Gael smiled at what he heard over the comlink. Good old H4L always had a way of lightening the mood, even when it was upset with how things went. Gael closed the access panel up and tried to start the ship's engines again. At first it seemed that the engines would fail again, but they eventually whirred and hummed gracefully, as if grateful to Gael for fixing them. "See? I told you the ship was fine!" Gael said more confidently than the first time he stated that fact. Edited November 30, 2015 by maverikid
ApocalypseZero 224 Posted November 30, 2015 After seeing that Hal was being taken care of, Marsten turned to the others. "What's the call? We rounding up and heading out or do we check on our dignitaries?" He paused for a moment before adding. "Either way, we risk more trouble. I have a feeling we may have been I.D.'ed. They may be watching us to lead them to our contact. Or they could be seeking 'independent contractors' to make our galaxy feel a little more cramped." Marsten then shuffled about checking entrance points and sight lines for activity. "Either way, I say we move. This shack won't save us anymore." He commented, visually seeming uneasy like something has been stuck in his mind, bothering him.
Jereru 171 Posted December 1, 2015 -We need to check the Anselmi- says Lavin. -We promised them protection, we can't just abandon them now or else our word will be worth nothing. Then Lavin seems to be doubting. -But... what to do with them? The Order knows they have been dealing with us... And also... how did they find us? BigSpoon 373 Posted December 1, 2015 "Very well, checking on the tribal leaders to make sure they made their escape seems prudent. Whatever differences the Nautolans and Anselmi have, I do not believe their leaders would have betrayed us to the Empire." Kell swayed slightly, putting a hand out to steady himself on the wall, wincing slightly as the pain of his wounds becomes apparent. His dark eyes glancing over the group. "Whatever our course of action, it needs to be done with haste."

maverikid 15 Posted December 2, 2015 (edited) Gael listened to the conversation over the comlink as he checked the rest of the ship to see if everything was in order. Once he had looked through the entirety of the Rapier, Gael pulled the comlink off his belt and spoke into the receiver. "Well since it seems everyone is in agreement to check on the Anselmi, so I'll meet you over there with the ship." Gael sat in the pilot's seat and grabbed what he thought were the controls. He had seen Dev'rios do it a million times, but had only seldom been allowed to pilot the Rapier. As the ship began to lift, Gael let his mind wander. Suddenly, Gael realized that he had not heard Dev'rios over the comlink. At first Gael thought nothing of it, but then began to worry if something had happened to his buddy. Gael had heard Dev'rios's background and his complications with the Corellian Engineering Corporation and Corsec. Meanwhile, Devrios had recruited Gael to be the mechanic of the ship, and they ended up working together a lot with the Rapier. Soon, they had become good pals. Despite being in the middle of flight, Gael spoke through the ship's comlink to ask the rest of the crew the big question. "Hey, guys? Um, where's Dev'rios? I haven't heard him speak at all over the comlink, and he's usually pretty talkative." Edited December 2, 2015 by maverikid
ApocalypseZero 224 Posted December 2, 2015 (edited) Healing (corrected): 2eA+5eD 2 failures, 2 threat Marsten stabbed a stimpack into him while hearing everyone respond. He took the moment to also look over his own self. He got banged up pretty good by the Droid, still some bruising. He found some shards that could only be from the Droid's shield embedded into his skin in several spots. Picking them out, he started to drip blood from the pinprick wounds. "Bring that ship to the meeting point. Hal's been damaged pretty good. We also don't need to go tipping off the whereabouts of who we were meeting. After we check on the Anselmi, we can return here for pick up. Keep an eye on the scanner and a finger on the comms though." Marsten called into the commlink and sharring with everyone present. "So, who's going with me to check on our new business partners?" Status: Wounds (3/12), +1 Strain (9/12), -1 Strain Threshold (12/13), (10 XP Unspent) Stimpack (Heals 5) Threat used for Strain? (added) OOC: Note sure if everyone is looking to have an interaction with the Anselmi. Jereru 171 Posted December 4, 2015 While trying to brace himself and have a pre of what hes going to tell the Anselmi, Lavin notices his companions are discussing about removing one of the droid's heads. BigSpoon 373 Posted December 4, 2015 "That Knight I took down, if you can salvage its head, we might be able to pull some useful intel off it. Like maybe where they are taking Dev'rios." Kell winced slightly and brought a hand up to one of the rents in his armor from a glancing vibroblade slash. Looking down as he pulled his hand back seeing blood coating his webbed fingers. "And if anybody has a spare stim, I could still use some patching up." Then looking over at Marsten "I think I am probably one of the last people the Anselmi want to see right now, even if we did just cover their escape. You and Lavin should go on ahead, we'll meet you when we rendevous with the Rapier"
maverikid 15 Posted December 5, 2015 (edited) By the time Gael heard the phrase "they are taking Dev'rios", Gael had already guessed what had happened based on the lack of direct responses. Gael could feel his anger begin to build up inside him, and he began to grind his teeth and clench his fists. How could he have let this happen? Perhaps the others were better at moving on from the loss of a companion, but he had never been able to handle change. He hated and feared change, ever since that day… Gael snapped out of his trance and steadied his mind. There was nothing he could have done to save Dev'rios. It was strange that it required Gael to tell himself that in order for him to accept that fact. Gael focused his mind back on the task at hand. He could see that he was approaching the meeting area. He turned on the comlink receiver and spoke. "Hey, I think I'm starting to get close. Are you guys ready to go?" Crazy Aido 139 Posted December 6, 2015 H4L takes out it's tools and leans down beside the stricken droid, considering the now "dead" automaton. "Better you than me pal..." awayputurwpn 7,720 Posted December 9, 2015 While H4L was digging around inside the dark knight's chassis, he accidentally interfaced (whoa buddy!) small infochip buried beneath the ruined droid's skull. It seemed to be very incomplete records of upgrade plans to a battle station: namely, the Death Star. From what H4L could deduce, this dark knight had been on guard duty for a Moff involved in the plans—H4L only had a picture, and did not know the man by sight—and this infochip contained a partial blueprint for an apparently very extensive upgrade scheme. Who put the chip there, or why, was not apparent.
Crazy Aido 139 Posted December 11, 2015 H4L Almost drops the head. H4L remembers the Death Star. It remembers the Clone Wars. It was a mothballed security unit when Alderaan was destroyed. It spent a lot of time hearing about how dangerous the Empire's super weapon was. "Beeeeeeeeeeeep... The Organic waste appears to have been routed into the ventilation unit. We have a big *crackle*-ing problem."
Jereru 171 Posted December 13, 2015 -What? What have you found there? (I see what you did there... Organic waste, as in, waste of Organa, i.e., the waste "pieces" of Alderaan )
Crazy Aido 139 Posted December 13, 2015 "Let's just say the Empire loves to flog a dead horse. I think they're building another super weapon." (Actually it was just a "****'s hit the fan" reference. Nothing much more clever than that. XD )

BigSpoon 373 Posted December 15, 2015 "Guys, I'm turning up nothing. I'm going to inquire some more on my way back to you." Kell pulls his commlink from his belt again, hearing Marsten's message. "Well, there was a pretty major firefight and I'm sure the Anselmi people don't want to give up their local leaders to easily. I'll see if I can pick up their trail." Attaching the comm back to his belt, Kell turned back to Hal and Lavin "I'm going to go around back and see if I can't find anything." With that he disappeared around back of the tavern that was the location of the meet. Starting at the backdoor, he slowly made his way across the street, scanning for anything that might let him pick up the trail of the Anselmi elders. Tracking across broken duracrete was difficult and he was about to give up, but as he looked up a glint caught his eye from across the street, Moving to investigate he found a shiny patch of metal on the rusted hinges of the warehouse door. "Must have gone this way" moving into the building he followed the hurried footsteps in the dirt and dust to a grate in the floor that was slightly ajar. Pulling his commlink free again he contacted the others: "Warehouse building behind the tavern we met at, I'm pretty sure I've got something."
