Finally, the droid locked blades with the Jedi, and with an inhuman twist of its mechanical wrist, Kell's lightsaber went spinning out of his hand. The heavily damaged Knight towered menacingly over the disarmed Jedi. Its blade retracted into the now-damaged arm, and it rushed at Marsten, arms extended. Marsten, completely unprepared, was caught up in the Dark Knight's constricting embrace, and struggled to free himself. Grappling Marsten: 3eP+1eA+2eD 1 success, 3 advantage fix: 1eD 0 successes, 1 threat So only 2 Advantage generated. Marsten is immobilized (can perform no maneuvers) until the end of the dark knight's next turn. New Round! First PC is up. Tahiri lashes a hard strike at the nearest Trooper dropping him to the ground. He carries his momentum into a second massive strike to the next trooper. The troopers drop to the ground in anguish. 1eA+2eP+1eB+3eD: 4 successes [1eA=S/A] [2eP=S, S/A] [1eB=S/A] [3eD=-, Th, Th/Th] http://orokos.com/roll/333271 +1 advantage for Superior allowing both sabers to connect. (We did some last-minute corrections to Tahiri's weapons, since I overlooked a detail on his gear & equipment...his lightsabers are Paired, and he is leading with his Superior Lightsaber, giving him 1 Advantage, which is enough to activate a second hit and take down another trooper) There are 11 more troopers left—4 on the roof (one engagement of 3, and a single trooper by himself), all behind cover; and 7 on the ground. He batted away several bolts, but he was starting to tire. Attacking Tahiri: 3eP+2eA+1eC+2eD+1eS 1 success, 1 advantage Tahiri takes 10 damage, minus soak. Again, you may Parry (and I suggest you do!). Also, Tahiri gets a Boost die if he attacks the stormtroopers next round. Dev'rios saber attack roll: 1eA+2eP+2eB+1eD+1eC+2eS 0 successes, 5 advantage Using a Destiny Point and +1 Success due to Battle Meditation. Totalling 7 Damage @Breach 1 ...he hits! And this time for good! -And don't get on your feet again, metal junk! 1 Advantage to give a Boost die to next PC 2 Advantages to deliver a Crit 2 Advantages to heal some Strain. Lavin needs to take a step aside to avoid being squashed by the droid, which hits the ground heavily, forming a dust cloud. A loud metallic noise reverberates for a long moment, while Dev'rios and Lavin try to check if the pile of metal and circuits is still operative. -These are gorram tough... -Sure they are. Dev'rios considered himself fortunate to have paired up with Lavin, despite the odd buzzing in the back of his head. btw I have Dev'rios at 8 strain, accounting for the 2 just healed. Next PC please! With a gentle glide of his wrist, Marsten's blaster escaped the holster and made a soft 'tink' sound as the barrel came to rest on the Droid's frame. "Do you blush?" Marsten sarcastically questioned the Droid, locking eyes with the optical ports and gritting his teeth in the face of the Droid as he started to pull the trigger until either the Droid let go or Marsten was unable to do so. Status: -1 Strain (6/12), -1 Strain Threshold (12/13) -1 Strain from Threat? 12 Damage, Pierce 1 (Possible Crit?) Don't forget the increased Difficulty for being engaged Taking a free maneuver for two threat rolled... Hauling Marsten with him, the Dark Knight began to exit the building, using the Gank as a "meat" shield as it appeared to communicate silently with the other dueling droids amidst the blaster fire from the squads of stormtroopers. In barely a moment the tables had turned, he'd had the upper hand on the droid since the engagement started and then in a blink of an eye he was unarmed, vulnerable. "Sithspawn!" Kell muttered, taking a deep breath and backing away slowly, keeping his eyes glued to the vibroblade. Ducking under the droids next jerky swing, he rolled across the cracked pavement, scrambling on all fours towards his inert lightsaber. Quickly grabbing up the cylinder he pressed the activation button, igniting the blade with a snap-hiss. Master Kayotoo's words echoing through his head "Do not seek to interpose yourself as the answer to all problems. Trust the Force". Kell raised his glowing blade, breathing deeply and focusing, he took a running start, then leapt into the air, letting the Force help propel him, up and up and into a flip over the head of the droid, slashing downwards at the droid's head. (Uncommiting the FD from Agility, using Hawkbat Swoop, and I'll be flipping a destiny point and taking the strain to use the Darkside point. awayputurwpn 7,720 Posted October 18, 2015 (edited) The Dark Knight could not bring up his defenses fast enough to avoid being dismantled by Kell's acute strikes. One slash after the other, and the droid fell to the ground, lying motionless, its blue vocabulator still blinking an erratic pattern. This was perhaps the reason why Kell was caught completely off-guard when the other Dark Knight came charging out. The Gank in his arms rushed unwillingly towards the Nautolan Jedi, and the two collided with each other and went sprawling as the menacing droid continued its approach. Using Marsten to clobber Kell: 3eP+1eA+2eB+3eD+1eS 5 successes, 1 threat Ouch! That's 11 damage (minus soak) to both Kell and Marsten (Kell can Parry). But the good news is that the droid is heavily strained, and Marsten is now on the ground next to Kell (neither are actually knocked down). They are now both engaged with the "first" Dark Knight, the one that had been inside with Marsten. Next PC please! I believe that's H4L. Then we have two more NPC slots. Taking the last NPC slot: Attacking H4L: 3eP+1eB+2eD+1eS 2 successes 11 damage to Hal! Minus soak. H4L sustained heavy fire from the stormtroopers on top of the building; his armor was barely enough to keep him up and running. New round! First PC is up.
