Heal/Harm

Recommended Posts

Harm has a control upgrade that says that the user may spend a pip to heal wounds equal to wounds inflicted on target. Can this be activated multiple times? I.e. Bob spends a pip to use harm on a stormtrooper to deal 5 damage then spends 2 pips to heal 10.

Okay after reading the Control Upgrade it works like this:

1, It counts as a stimpak use

2. It can be activated multiple times, but can only heal different people.

So if Bob activates harm he can spend 1 pip to harm a storm trooper for 5 then spend a pip to heal Bob for 5 and then spend a second pip to heal mary for 5.

This counts as a use of a stimpack on the affected target. This means a single target may only benefit from five uses of heal over a twenty four hour period, and his uses of heal count against his uses of stimpavks (and vica versa).

"The user may spend (Force Point) to heal a number of wounds on an engaged living creature (including himself) equal to the damage he inflicted on the target. This counts as a use of a stimpack on the target of the healing. The character healed this way gains 1 Conflict. The user may activate this upgrade multiple times, but must select a different target to be healed each time."

The impression I get is that the healing for this doesn't degrade over time but it does put healing and stimpacking at a cap of five. The regular use of Heal counts as a stimpack also but cannot be activate multiple times.

As a follow up, if you have multiple force points available, can you combine them to increase the healing provided by one instance of Heal?

Example. If you have intellect 3 and roll one Force die and get two force points, can you commit the two force points into one instance of heal of 6 wound points (leaving the recipient w/4 more stimpak/heal instances for the day)? Or do each of them count as a separate 3 point healing (leaving the recipient a max of 3 more stimpak/heal instances for that day)?
