Who actually cares about their post to like ratio?

Recommended Posts

I don't worry if a post isn't liked. I've had positive responses without a like so have assumed that a "like" means more than just liking what's read.

But seeing a "like" does increase my happy while here and I click on the "a post you made" part to beam into the topic to see what I said and if I got a response or quote. Having someone react to a comment means to me what likes mean to you.

But because you like to be liked I'll like your post to increase your happy

There should be an unlike button too.

I have two warning points. Kind of proud of that.

I'm surprised there isn't one!

It would warn someone that they'd said something people didn't like before it got to the point of being warned.

I'd had 'popular' *once* for the same post/thread that got me my one and only warning too (but also indirectly got me talking to the mods and got us subforums) and that was for the 'is bacon overpowered' parody of the endless sky is falling threads we had at one point.

An unlike or thumbs down button would actually probably remove a lot of unnecessary and inflammatory post as its half way to the 'report' button which at the moment is your only recourse if something is out of order short of starting a row.

Yeah sometimes I feel like maybe I'm getting carried away or getting to aggressive or something, I tend to be somewhat of a 'in your face' type in a debate.

But seeing how many likes I have lets me know that even if I get a bit carried away sometimes, people generally agree with what I say.

I also find that there's some people I put more weight behind on a like then others. There are also the rare case where a like might be a bad thing... a "if he likes it, maybe I am wrong..." type thing.
