awayputurwpn 7,720 Posted February 25, 2016 (edited) Fair enough. In that case shall I hold back until the combat-capable characters have acted? Well...if you're hanging back and using a Force power, perhaps it's best if you act first, so that others can benefit from that nifty 3 Defense that Maya gave them. Just spitballing. ColonelCommissar 1,243 Posted February 25, 2016 I'd have suggested that the characters capable of killing things did that, then I act afterwards. I could use a second opinion from a member of the party really.
Silver Crane 199 Posted February 26, 2016 (edited) I'l have Seifer act last and provide you some cover. Edited February 26, 2016 by Silver Crane
Korro Zal 54 Posted February 26, 2016 It doesn't really matter to me when Xan acts, though when he does he will certainly attack with his lightsaber. If someone else wants to act before I do, go ahead. I suppose I should act before the phantoms do, given how aggressive Xan is, but that probably isn't a problem given how high our initiative checks are. kaosoe 7,573 Posted February 26, 2016 (edited) It makes the most sense to me that Xan would take the next PC slot before the NPCs go. Edited February 26, 2016 by kaosoe
awayputurwpn 7,720 Posted February 27, 2016 One more PC can go before the first NPC slot. Just as a reminder, you all have 3 defence from Maya until you take your first turn.
ColonelCommissar 1,243 Posted February 28, 2016 Kovin stretched out with the Force and attempted to feel how it flowed around the nearest. He wasn't sure what this thing was. It definitely had a presence in the Force—a powerful presence—but cold, and distant. Kovin was sure he'd never felt anything like this before...but something about it still felt elusively familiar. Two things were for certain: It was not an apparition, but neither was it alive. The plot thickens... 2 awayputurwpn and kaosoe reacted to this
awayputurwpn 7,720 Posted February 28, 2016 Better than, "the plot becomes a stodgy mix of incoherent narrative and inane banter." I'll take it
Korro Zal 54 Posted February 29, 2016 (edited) Well, if no one objects, I'll make my attack That's two Difficulty dice for the Melee attack, and one Misfortune from the fear, correct? Or did I forget something? Edited February 29, 2016 by Korro Zal
awayputurwpn 7,720 Posted February 29, 2016 The difficulty will be two challenge dice (Adversary 2) and yes, one Setback from fear. So you're looking at 2eC+1eS. Don't forget you have a boatload of Destiny right now! 1 ColonelCommissar reacted to this

Korro Zal 54 Posted March 1, 2016 Okay, here we go...
awayputurwpn 7,720 Posted March 2, 2016 Man, you guys can't seem to catch a break with these Average fear checks. Maya and Seifer will both suffer an additional setback die to all actions this encounter due to their growing fear. That's two setbacks per action for the both of them. Also, this: Also Fear check (Cool): 1eA+1eP+1eB+2eD 1 failure, 2 advantage Happened before this: I'd like to parry to reduce that damage from 8 to 3, taking 3 Strain in the process. At least, in the order of things. The Shade engaged with Seifer first, triggering the fear check. Then it attacked, triggering the Parry. Therefore Seifer had no strain to recover before making his check to avoid Fear. So he's stuck with 3 strain right now, I'm afraid. Is there anything else you'd like to do with that 2 Advantage, Silver Crane? If you'd like a suggestion, per the Fear guidelines, you could give yourself 2 Boost dice to your next action. Call it an adrenaline surge or somesuch, if you like Speaking of which, who'd like the next PC slot?
Silver Crane 199 Posted March 3, 2016 (edited) I came into the encounter with strain, 5 to be precise, so I'd go down to 3 and then up to 6 after the parry. Edited March 3, 2016 by Silver Crane
awayputurwpn 7,720 Posted March 3, 2016 I came into the encounter with strain, 5 to be precise, so I'd go down to 3 and then up to 6 after the parry. Hmm, I missed that. Okay, if you say so Still have a PC turn up. Who wants it? Are there any questions you'd like answered?

awayputurwpn 7,720 Posted March 4, 2016 "They're too close together!" Firan thinks to himself, raising his carbine up towards the shades attacking his companions, "Too risky."Altering his gaze towards the still distant remaining shade, partially visible through the enhanced vision of his electrobinocular scope, he smirks underneath his helmet, "That'll do." "I don't care what it is," He says, muffled by the dark distortion in the room, "If you put enough blaster bolts into something, sooner or later it's gonna die!" Manuever to draw carbine, Action to attack. Binoculars remove one setback, if I'm reading them correctly, but I still have one from the earlier fear checkCarbine justice: 2eP+2eA+2eC+3eS 1 failure, 1 threat, 1 Triumph, 1 DespairThat is one hell of a roll! That is one hell of a roll! What would you like to do with the Triumph?
Revanchist7 459 Posted March 5, 2016 Hit the ceiling and bring rocks down creating an obstacle between us and the third shade. And of course probably hurting someone, per the despair. 2 awayputurwpn and kaosoe reacted to this
awayputurwpn 7,720 Posted March 9, 2016 (edited) Next PC can go...who wants the turn? Also waiting on a skill check from Jonas. ColonelCommissar 1,243 Posted March 28, 2016 I believe we're on a new round. What's the plan? I'd prefer not to engage - perhaps I could Seek an easier way to cross the rubble?

ColonelCommissar 1,243 Posted March 28, 2016 @CC Awww.. I'm disappointed by the new Avatar. Maya could attempt bind one of them. I felt like a change of scenery (of sorts). Binding might require LoS - if I take the first slot (or at least a high-up one) then with away's approval I can make crossing the rubble much easier for everyone. Korro Zal 54 Posted March 31, 2016 Well, I don't have a target now--if someone could provoke the spirits into moving out of the rubble (assuming they're insubstantial and can do so) or if Kovin can help with crossing the rubble, that would possibly allow me to save my action for doing what I do best. (No, I don't mean starting arguments with party members--I mean lightsaber dueling...wait, maybe that's my second best talent...) 1 kaosoe reacted to this
FCastor 81 Posted April 6, 2016 I do not mind giving Kovin first go. Other than that, are we waiting on something else? Last post in the IC thread is Seifer using the 3 Advantages to reduce the difficulty of checks made to clear the rubble.
