a wing and Chardaan Refit

Recommended Posts

The point I was trying make was that they don't need to be loaded up. One of the nastiest lists around very early in the game was the TIE Swarm. 6-8 TIE Fighters coming at you. They only have 2 attack dice, just like the A-wing, but it's the sheer volume of fire that no ship can withstand for very long. And you line them up so they can all target one ship and then hammer it. The 5 A-wing list is the same concept. Concentrated firepower will win eventually.

Ok so i guess i not useing phantom as that seems super hard to use i love because i feel it has the right amount off attack dice i believe all 3 ships should be 4 all small ships should be 3. Ans hug ships should be 6 that way u can hurt stuff decomitor 3 attack is a joke i really thought when i bought it it have at lest 5

But the Decimator cannot defend itself, so those 5 a-wings could potentially get 10 (and if all were at range 1, 15) damage through on it in ONE round of shooting. And some of those might be crits, and so once the shields are gone, you could be dealing double damage with a crit, or making it harder for it to turn, or making it's weapon less effective.

I know you've said you find it near impossible to hit stuff, but you have to understand that we are all giving you advice based on a regular, "sometimes you hit,, sometimes you don't" perspective.

We all have bad games where we roll blanks. But we also all have those games where you can roll nothing but hits.

Maybe its the fact lets say i have 3e wings and my brother got 3 e wing each on goes after one ship i would never team up one because that lets the other 2 go after you as you hunt down one ship

also that why i never do tie swarm seems un fair 2 have 2 ships to there one. Our using 6 to kill one ship

I think this might be your problem. It's very important in this game to try and concentrate fire on one target at a time. The more of your ships that shot at the same thing, the sooner that thing gets taken of the board and stops shoting back.

You need to let go of your 40K way of thinking. If every small ship had the same number of attack dice, it would not be much fun. It's like arming every one with a bolt gun. If you make all the ships the same, you're just playing Space Marine versus Space Marines. And that would get boring real quick.

A TIE Fighter does not have the same firepower as an X-wing, just like an A-wing does not have the same durability as a TIE Defender. It is the difference that adds the flavour to the game.

2 squads of space marines vs a Lemun Russ tank. That's 2v1, and I'd say the 1 has the advantage.
