heychadwick 11,357 Posted February 22, 2016 My son has an old game that was plasticard Star Wars things with some game attached. Never played the game, but thought about pulling it back out again. I wish I could recall the name of it. The "Star Wars Pocketmodel Trading Card Game" (one of several 'constructable strategy games'). Some of the models were rather cool... shame the rules were so utterly mediocre. In the version I played the models litterally do nothing, you just line up their bases and roll dice based on the stats there. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_PocketModel_Trading_Card_Game That looks about right, except I just remember a lot of AT-AT's and such. I really should just pull it off the shelf.
Ken at Sunrise 2,065 Posted February 22, 2016 I used to play very large scale 6mm games with Warhammer 40k Epic. Marines, infantry and titans. Played quite often with battles that would take all day and a good part of the night.

Rickenbacker69 36 Posted February 25, 2016 (edited) I used to play wargames with Micro Armor, which is 1:285, or 6mm. I mainly painted tanks, but you could make the infantry look pretty good with a bit of patience! Not my picture, but here's an example: Edited February 25, 2016 by Rickenbacker69 2 Icebox and xXWarsmithXx reacted to this
Jiron 423 Posted March 27, 2018 I am sorry for necromancy but I have recently found Horizon Wars from Osprey Games as very neat sci-fi 6mm wargame. Still trying to find some infantry for Star Wars in the scale... 1 DScipio reacted to this

Quoted from your other thread on that subject Onslaught miniatures makes some that would work ok. http://www.onslaughtmini.com/ his otc line has some that would work pretty well for rebel troopers (from the tantive) and the ppf enfourcers would make adequate storm troopers. There is also vanguard miniatures in the UK. He also sells onslaughts stuff and has his own range, defeat in detail http://vanguardminiatures.co.uk/ Bizarrely, the novan regular DESERT infantry probably make better Hoth troopers than the WINTER infantry those two are probably the premiere 6mm manufacturers right now, but there are others keep in mind when judging these, 6mm is very small. In the normal course things, a lot of the detail on a figure that size won’t be noticeable, so figures that would never work at 30mm scale are just fine at 6mm

I only see W40K style. OTC? PPF? Not saw a mention on that. Vanguard Desert infantry is really doable for Hoth Rebels. I have also found Tauntaun cavalry in CinC. That might work well! Thanks. He’s renamed his categories since last I looked. There are these guys http://www.onslaughtmini.com/55-neo-shinobi.html that would make good rebel troopers, or possibly imperial Death Star troops. And these guys http://www.onslaughtmini.com/211-terran-ppf-enforcers.html Are not super good as stormtroopers, but at 6mm scale would probably work
