Boardy 79 Posted July 22, 2015 Hey Everybody! My local game store is sponsoring a tournament this August. It'll be our first one not meant to exclusively community build. Community will be built, sure, but many ships will be destroyed. Very excited. Lots of prizes just for participating. Here's the description from their Facebook event: Please join us on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 10:30 am for a Star Wars Armada Tournament.The Entry Fee will be $5.00 per person.In Star Wars: Armada, you assume the role of fleet admiral, serving with either the Imperial Navy or Rebel Alliance. It’s your job to issue the tactical commands that will decide the course of battle and, perhaps, the fate of the galaxy.Tournament Structure: The Tournament will follow the Official Armada Tournament Rules, published by Fantasy Flight Games. We will play a maximum of 3 rounds, each round will be 120 minutes.Each player must build one fleet for use in a Star Wars: Armada tournament. The maximum squad fleet for each player is 300 points. A fleet cannot exceed 300 points, though it may contain fewer than 300 points. Each player may choose to field either a Rebel or Imperial fleet. Each player must submit his fleet composition, including all associated Upgrade cards and total fleet points, to the TO before the start of the tournament. Players must use the same fleet for the duration of the tournament, including all Ship and Upgrade cards. Each player must bring an Armada core set and any additional components he needs for his fleet.
