Putnik29 0 Posted July 12, 2015 HI I have just recently purchased Forbidden Stars and I just wanted to see what the community would suggest regarding overall strategy and opening moves for each faction. I tried one game as the space marines vs chaos and i kept getting beaten down quite a bit due to lack of dice from my units. player2068881 1 Posted July 19, 2015 That's exactly the point with marines. You weather the storm and beat the enemy on have more morale. You're also remarkably well equipped to unroute your units and prevent damage. There are some very interesting strategy topics on the Boardgamegeek forum about Forbidden Stars. I got beaten down in my first game as well. Reading those tactica's allowed me to avoid another beat-down and I managed to win my second game. It's key to know when to buy what upgrades.
