Boba /w VI, EU, Tactician, Seismic, inertial IG88-B /w Predator, Advanced Sensors, Mangler, Seismic, Inertial, Autothrusters Thoughts on how the match went. -Good Tactician was good. A lot of stress on the board. Inertial set up a rather nice rear arc shot /w Boba because they forgot and flew right past me thinking i was going to bank a certain direction. EU on large base doesn't need explanation Advanced sensors on IG-2000 is just slippery, and fun. Autothrusters keeps IG alive a little longer. -Not so good Seismic on IG was wasted. Doesn't feel like he needed it. While Mangler is cool, i always wished it was HLC Inertial prob unnecessary on IG as he really wants to dance around the field. PS6 too far a gap from PS10, almost feels like it makes Boba a lone target. With 'gunner' built in, VI seems better in this instance. Just an obversation on my end after the matches i got in. Here are my suggested changes for next play... Boba /w VI, EU, Tactician, Proton Bomb IG88-B /w VI, Advanced Sensors, Autothrusters, HLC hi J, that is the same list that Sable G used and won Texas regionals with. strong list. that proton bomb ob PS10 ship is nasty. No kidding? LOL. That's funny, didn't know that. I changed the seismic for proton on Boba because landing crits through shields is nice. Mangler for HLC because 4 red > 3 red. Heres's to hoping i can channel Sable's maneuvering skills. haha. there is no secret maneuvering wins you games as much as list composition does. also tactics and target priority make a difference. this is a cruel game because u can get everything right and still get screwed by poor dice but imo u should concentrate on the factors within your control. HLC is so needed to punch damage thru those heavily armoured large ships. MOV has made target priority even more imp than it used to be imo. i was playing vs a superTANKY chewie/corran list last night and threw everything at chewie and the best i could manage in an hr of play was 4 hull damage. this showed me a super tanky ship isnt ur main target, its the support ship. get those points in the bag and then decide if u can can take out the tank. the risk is if u lose one of ur ships you lose but thats what good lists do, give u hard choices and dont give u a clear choice for target priority. Masterxlos 0 Posted July 9, 2015 (50) = Kath Scarlet + Seismic Charges + Push the Limit + Recon Specialist + Engine Upgrades (49) = IG88-B Veteran Instincts + Heavy Laser Cannon + Autothrusters + Advanced Sensors I find that Kath's ability makes her a great. Once she's into position, she dominate anything that chases her and with push the limit she always has an evade with two focus. . That engine upgrade is a great tool to help zip across the map and support IG88-B if he needs it. The Seismic Charges works wonders against lower level pilot as they more times than not take it to the face but I mostly use it as a finisher which allows me to use Kath's attack dice on more threatening targets. As for the higher level Pilots, just as good only because they will focus on dodging it which allows me to set up a nice kill box the following turn or hit with Kath without and tokens standing between her auxiliary and the target since more times then not they will be barrel rolling or boosting to avoid it. As for IG88-B he one slippery bot-dude. Advanced Sensor is key to getting those actions in before you perform those S-loops. Plus his ability makes him an even greater threat when your opponent has token. I use him to peel those off so that Kath can do her dirty work with minimal resistants plus he more often than not will punch a one or two hits into shields or hull. A bonus is that its a nice initiative bid build if and when it comes into play. Thoughts? Questions? Concerns? P.S. I'd like to try cluster bomb when they come out with wave 7. Not sure if its worth the 4 points and action spent and I'd have to drop VI on IG88-B to make it work... Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
