are you aloud to laminate your cards?

Recommended Posts

I was going to buy the card sleeves from Fantasy Flight but I think that laminating them would be better.  I'm just not sure if that laminating would tournament legal.  Anyone out there know for sure?

I don't see why not. The tournament rules don't address the issue. I wouldn't laminate the damage deck, though. It would make it too thick and easy to knock over. I don't even sleeve mine for this reason. Also, slight variations in the size or cut of the laminate could open you up to accusations of "marked" cards. But as long as you stick to ship and upgrade cards you should be ok.

Actually, they do.

COMPONENT MODIFICATIONS (PG 4.)

• Cards must remain unaltered, though they may be sleeved for protection. Sleeves for Damage cards must be identical and unaltered.

Unless you are counting Lamination as Permanent Sleeving.  Which is possible, I guess.
