Legacy speed Xianghua deck

I built this for a recent legacy tournament, keep in mind my knowledge of legacy cards is pretty limited, and i have some sets but very few of the no watermark cards.  Anyways here was my attempt at a omgbuildfast xianghua

 

Xuanghua** R: After you play a Death & Fire card, draw 1 card.

Deck built fast but was thrown together. I think with some good swaps with legacy cards this deck can get decent...but im lookin for help because my knowledge of legacy sucks.

A typical attack string is something like Knight Breaker (calling death E to bait a block) @ 5. Hades @ 5, Launcher @ 6, Dragon @ 8

8 is a lil heft, but its 23dmg by itself. (t3, or an amazing t2)

For less dmg if i have less open (t2 consistently) i drop Hades/lightning uppercut, launcher, knight breaker, requires a 4/6,5,7.

 

Taking deck apart for now so posting to archive/get some suggestions.

The Xianghua ur using for the speed deck isnt really the uhh right one. Not trying to come off as an ass just hear me out. The best one to run is the Promo Xianghua because u have access to life which gives u amazing speed pumps (all the fire speed pumps +omgamazing Unrequited Love). With those u also get access to the best kill life ever had Deceptive Look. As for an attack string with that u run WidowMakers, Kunais and w/e else u want (i suggest NAgase Spiral as it has a crappyblock to fuel Unrequited, and the ability is amazing). U also get other legacy things like Idyllic Kamui Kotan, or Fierce Competitor (soo good) and ur decks packed with 6s i think. One build that works is it runs all throws except Kunai for obv reasons. Annnyways im done i just really needed to point this out.

THe deck you have looks pretty good. Im just not a big fan of fury of the north, but the rest seem kinda solid. With death u could really use some of its old control cards, fire had some good stuff back then too (cant remember offhand other than Red Gi). Oh and ur forgetting one of the most important cards in legacy Trade your passion for glory

OH And Senkyutai for any build u make. esp the life one but in teh death or fire one its still amazing.

Also none of this is to say that that ones bad or that the promos the best and u should run that one just playing off past exp (i ran 2 of the 3 for 2years always, the one ur running is the one i didnt but now its actually pretty good, not so much back then)

when i say "speed' i dont mean attack speed, i mean build speed.  Its possible to drop almost 10 foundations turn 2

 

Deck is more about card advantage with her R than attack speed.  And you fill your hand with attacks so even if they block the first 3, they eat a 20+ dmg dragon flame, or, with such build advantage, fury of the north makes just about any attack lethal dmg.

 

I pretty much just built this deck because i saw Xianghu with the R ability and thought "that looks fun" so i tried it

Oh jeez, it never even crossed my mind that Nightmare AND Ragnar could trigger her ability... jeeeeeeeez, this could get gross.

With X's insane building speed an All Life is Prey deck might be viable -- if you can drop 10 foundations turn 2, then how about you blow up 5 of them and 3 of your opponent's, and make the 5 you have left into +8dmg a piece :]

Definitely pick up 4x Friends and Rivals, that card is insane (even has the symbols). Same for Absurd Strength, it's just too good not to run, especially when you're probably drawing approx 1 trillion cards every turn.

Intimidating Presence shares your symbols and would let you take advantage of your huge board presence. Good god, what this deck could do with Ira Spinta... yeah, this is going to be gross.

I wonder what cards it'll be worth going into mono-fire or mono-death for... Red Gi imo doesn't make it, Saikyo seems just about strictly better (2 cards woohoo, this deck will end virtually every turn with 6+ in hand unless X got tapped). Lost Memories, Charismatic and Roam the World are all insane for the more hybrid route, although then I start to worry about how much defense we'll be able to run. Clones is a 3/5 3M5, too good, and the attacks must chain off Fire for Absurd anyway. Sting Like a Bee = +1 to your foundation spam checks, but if you spend too long doing nothing but building you'll mill out easy. Hmm, decisions decisions

Hey Man, didn't have a chance to play vs this deck when it was legacy, but i look forward to it, fo sho.

If you're interested, here's a deck idea, but with a different version of Xianghua, the UR version is boss (E: your attack gets +1 damage for each attack before it in your cardpool.)!

Play Challenge the Master + Jack Knife Kick (multipled out) + Jack Knife Kick + 8th Bill (for an unblockable 17 damage!).

Classic Beatz right there, man!!!
