ficklegreendice 34,362 Posted June 22, 2015 Winning the bid meant more to me before I got a better grasp of the game. Now I focus on creative listing to try to 'squeeze the lemons' so to speak. I hear that's a crime in certain countries 1 Maturin reacted to this
Lyraeus 4,759 Posted June 22, 2015 I used to underbid by about five points or so, back in April/May. Objectives seemed to be more important then. Now objectives seem to matter less, and I don't worry about the bid much. It's worthwhile, I think, to talk about these questions with your regular opponents. That way you learn how they're thinking about these issues, and you can plan accordingly. You see me bid all the time Mikael and i get my choice (usually first) it works for meWe actually haven't had all that many games against one another, nor do I watch you as closely as I probably should. It's one thing to say one is going to be hyperobservant. It's another to actually make the time and effort to actually do it. The same is true about internalizing the ins and outs of all the objectives and the advantages of initiative, etc.I do security for a living, I have tons of time for my mind to work on analysis of objectives, situations, pros and cons of going first vs second, etc

coastcityo 324 Posted June 23, 2015 Like quite a few here, I build the list I want and focus more on not going over 300 points, I prefer going first and just picking Objectives I can handle easiest, or just making the most out of my Objective.
