Payens81 10 Posted June 19, 2015 Hello, I was looking at the Advanced Gunnery card. It says that for the first player can attack from the same Hull Zone twice in a round to different hull zones. However; for the second player is says that you can attack twice from the same Hull zone to the same targets. So If I read that right the second player can attack from the same Hull Zone too the same Hull Zone for both attacks?
KommissarK 209 Posted June 19, 2015 Yes, its better to be the second player with Advanced Gunnery. It does allow two shots from the same hull section against the same target.
Ghost Dancer 401 Posted June 19, 2015 Yes, thus giving the second player a huge advantage (esp if they have a VSD or similar with a large battery armament).
Forgottenlore 9,838 Posted June 19, 2015 It says that for the first player can attack from the same Hull Zone twice in a round to different hull zones. Can the target be different hull zones on the same ship? I thought it had to be completely different ships.
KommissarK 209 Posted June 19, 2015 (edited) First player's ship has to target different ships (its basically a free gunnery team upgrade), second player gets to be able to shoot the same ship. It follows with how objective cards generally benefits the second player. Strategiclly speaking, an objective like this is probably more used as a way to herd the opponent into picking a different objective. Actually, the objective only specifies different hull zones need to be targeted with each shot for the first player. If they are able to target two different hull zones on the same ship, they can attack the same ship twice. 1 Green Knight reacted to this
Edsel62 306 Posted June 20, 2015 (edited) This makes the Paragon very nice especially if you are the second player. Use a Concentrate Firepower command dial and add two black dice to your second shot at any range. Edited June 20, 2015 by Edsel62
