At 8 points, he's phenomenally expensive, and only the decimator and shuttle can hold him... but we're all dying to try him out, right?

 

How are you thinking of including him in a squadron?

The exact list I was about to post, except I'm not positive if Kenkirk will have Predator or PTL.

 

Predator is much more reliable, and opens up your dial much more when it comes to the next movement phase, but as you're well aware, PtL + EU + Isard can make for some fun dodging at the start of the combat phase, which is super tempting. 

 

My only concern is that PS9 on Vader probably wants a point or two for the initiative bid, but there's nothing I really wanna cut. Maybe Kenkirk will go down to Determination if it proves too vital, but I want to see how it goes. Aside from Kenkirk's EPT, the rest of the list is a bit obvious, but only because it's dead on the money. Has there ever been a list with more flavor? Emperor and Vader in the house, suckas.

I don't think Kenkirk needs Determination really. If they focus on him he'll get two evades (once shields drop) every turn no matter what. He'll stay alive long enough for Vader to really kill some stuff. If they go after Vader, then the Emperor is going to make him really hard to kill or make his shot that much more deadly.

 

Boosting at PS 12 is so **** awesome though. Its hard for me not to run the PTL + Isard combo.

what about outmaneuver on vader 

 

 

 

Outmaneuver never seems to get enough love.  It's such a wonderful, wonderful counter to highly agility ships (lookin' at you, Soontir Fel!).  Throw it on your own highly maneuverable ship or a Firespray and go to town.  

 

It also allows you to throw a middle finger up at C-3P0 on a Falcon, so bonus points.

In turn one, Vader and Stele would fly in formation with Jendon, and Jendon would target lock the biggest threat, then pass it off to one of the Advanced x1s. Probably to Stele since Vader gets two actions every turn anyway. With the Stealth Device and Vader's two actions per turn (Focus and Evade constantly, aside from when you need to target lock), along with the Emperor modifying dice, Vader is going to be a real pain to actually land hits on. Maarek Stele, with the Emperor modifying dice, is going to be a triple-crit machine, and with him attacking after Vader, he's got a good chance of hitting hull instead of shield. Once those crits hit home, Maarek Stele's ability will let you cripple the enemy ships in whatever way suits you best.

Ram that Decimator into anything that you can for some guaranteed damage cards. You probably won't ram much, but you can control the way your opponent flies - dish out some turret fire for damage cards and have Vader Crit the enemy (since you have 12 hull, just spend some for extra crits). While the Lambda can target lock (then move a lock across the board), Lt. Colzet can spend locks to flip a damage card to yet another crit (getting free locks to spend each time he attacks). Ofcourse, the Emperor will have his gnarly finger pointed at your dice rolls all game long ensuring your victory.

Vader w/ predator, title, ATC, EU

Soontir Fel w/ PTL, Autothrusters and stealth device.

I like the idea of flying through obstacles to get into range 1 and using emperor if I roll a hit/crit. Also the obvious of Vader getting more hits through via predator and emperor synergy.

2 things: 1) that's 29+37+35 which is 101 points 2) if you don't get your double actions both of those aces are not good, so intentionally flying through rocks is pretty foolhardy and better win you the game.
