StalkinPanda 4 Posted June 2, 2015 Hello all, I bought Netrunner a while back but didn't play it due to a lack of players in my region (Groningen, Netherlands). I have been trying some other lcgs and am looking forward to the new edition of GoT lcg...but every time I see updates on Android I keep getting reminded how good the game really is. My question: Is it not too late to start (only have the base game) and if not, are there specific cycles I should skip (outdated?)?Are all the deluxe expansions mandatory or are some outdated? Finally: any of you active in Groningen? Cheers
CommissarFeesh 458 Posted June 2, 2015 None of the packs are outdated. Rotation has been announced, but nothing rotates out until at least 2017, and there are probably (almost definitely) cards in the Genesis and Spin cycles which you'll want. All the deluxe sets don't rotate either, so they're a good place to start expanding (especially if you're a fan of the factions they focus on). It's never too late to join in, though there is of course a large (and growing) card pool to learn. Take it at your own pace, and enjoy 1 Marinealver reacted to this
StalkinPanda 4 Posted June 2, 2015 That's good to hear! I heard about rotation from GoT and was afraid it would hit Android sooner. Any other opinions or tips? Start with all the deluxe expansions or start chronologically?
Primus_Magicus 7 Posted June 2, 2015 Yup I work in Groningen and live nearby. I played Netrunner a lot, but since nationals last september I did not play a lot anymore and am behind a couple of packs since then, but probably get them soon. Maybe we can play some time. Grimwalker 647 Posted June 2, 2015 I'd say your first priorities would be to get the Deluxes, with What Lies Ahead and Opening Moves being the next priorities. After that you should probably just target your purchases based on what specific cards you're interested in.
