Imperial Outer Rim Patrol Fleet 300pts

Recommended Posts

Hello to everyone

Awaiting wave 1 premiere in my Homeland I've made a theoretical allroundish Imperial fleet build.

Imperial Outer Rim Patrol Fleet (294 of 300 pts)

Flagship: (115 pts)

  • Victory II-Class Star Destroyer(85 pts)
  • Admiral Screed (26 pts)
  • Leading Shots (4 pts)

Fleet Ship 1: (59 pts)

  • Gladiator I-Class Star Destroyer(56 pts)
  • Insidious (3 pts)

Fleet Ship 2: (72 pts)

  • Gladiator II-Class Star Destroyer(62 pts)
  • Demolisher (10 pts)

Squadrons (48 of 98 pts):

  • 6x Tie Fighter Squadron (48 pts)

Objectives:

  •
  • Advanced Gunnery
  • Hyperspace Assault
  • Superior Positions

Explanation:

Fleet was designed to not be overcrowded wit reb cheap ship fleets as well as to make a stand against heavier reb ships. Key component of sucess is Admiral Screed optimising attack dice. VSD II is a slow moving front arc firing platform used to controll battle's center of gravity. GLD I Insidoius is a fast runner who's purpouse is to get behing enemy ships and wreck havoc among them. GLD II Demolisher is support ship utilised depening on situation.  It can help VSD II to control the situation on the batlefield with his post move attack, fight in pair with GLD I to wreck even more havok or shoot down enemy fighters pinned down by Ties. Ties are for screening and delaying purpouses only.

Advanced Gunnery makes VSD II move alongside game are edge and make heavy pounding with his front or fron/side arc while GLDs outmanouver enemy who is hopefully focused on VSD II.

Hyperspace Assault leaves GLD I Insidious in reserve to be deployed directly behind enemy ships to be the hammer while VSD II and GLD II are the anvil together crushing biggest enemy ships in no time.

Superior Positions were taken in mind of luring enemy light ships to abandom main force in favor of attaking rear hull zone of "exposed" VSD II ("It's a trap!!"). This is the trickiest obective to play and will need a lot of practice in manouvering. Alternatively if enemy's fleet is composed of heavy ships GLD I will come in handy to earn extra points by attacking from behind.

6pts. left out for bidding.

Thx to SWAFT fleet builder.
