You could fly a swarm, vaporize the deci ASAP, and then attempt to kill Soontir. Even if you didn't you'd probably still have more points on the board when time is called than Soontir. What about: 6 Academy TIE Fighters + Omicron Group Pilot Lambda with Vader and engine? At the very least you could use the lambda to scare soontir from going into its arc.
