Tinman 0 Posted September 21, 2009 Have you thought about adding in Duel Wielding? Tack that onto an Attack that has recieved a Speed bump off Promo Astrid, and rack up the damage. Not to mention it is a Weapon, so failing to play is is not all that bad. -Mr. Tinman
Mordai 0 Posted September 22, 2009 Raven's Claw is a solid attack to add if you want to, I usually get's it up to unblockable speed and can finish them off with it
Monkey D. Wolfwood 0 Posted September 22, 2009 what would you suggest to take out for said cards?
LordAggro 0 Posted September 22, 2009 I have a few suggestions for you as far as Astrid is concerned: 1. Attacks with Multiple aren't all that great with her; remember that the copy has a blank text box, and is thus not a Weapon attack. Also, high costs are a bit of a no-no for Astrid, since most of the stuff she does likes to commit foundations. 2. Attacks with a high difficulty (5+) should be kept at a minimum for Astrid; she can make any attack beastly, so you don't have to worry about the base damage as much as you do with other characters. 3. Hungry for Battle is godly; discard a card from the top of the deck, AND get damage? As a free E? Sign me up! 4. I hate to beat a dead horse, but ShadoWar covers up what's basically her biggest weakness (speed). To that end, your line-up should be mostly ShadoWar attacks. I know they're not all that easy to get, but believe me when I say they'll work wonders for you. Lastly, I have the decklist for my playgroup's Astrid here, which I'll share with you. Hopefully, you'll find something useful there: Starting Character: Astrid (6 HS 27 Vitality) (All, Fire, Order) Assets (6): 4 Reaver's Axe (2/4 +2H; Unique, Weapon) (All, Fire, Order) 2 Ymirfang (3/4 +2M; Unique, Weapon) (Death, Earth, Fire) Attacks (22): 4 Pommel Smash (3/3 2H1; Stun: 1, Weapon) (All, Fire, Order) 4 Execution Technique First Rite (4/3 3L3 +2L; Stun: 2, Weapon) (Air, Chaos, Fire) 4 Shield Breaker (4/3 3M4; Weapon) (Death, Earth, Fire) 4 Tyr's Warding Smash (4/3 2H4 +1H; Weapon) (All, Fire, Order) 4 Cleave (5/3 4H5 +0M; Weapon) (Death, Earth, Fire) 2 Hammer Uppercut (5/2 3H7 +2L; Weapon) (Death, Earth, Fire) Foundations (38): 4 Envoy of the Queen (1/5 +3L; Weapon) (All, Fire, Order) 4 Financial Troubles (2/5) (All, Fire, Order) 4 For the Money (2/5 +3M) (All, Chaos, Fire) 4 Hungry for Battle (2/4) (Earth, Evil, Fire) 4 Relentless (2/4; Weapon) (All, Fire, Order) 4 Stand Off (2/5 +3M) (Air, Earth, Fire) 2 The Entertainer (2/5) (Earth, Fire, Good) 4 Communing with the Ancients (3/5) (Air, Chaos, Fire) 4 Paying Respect to Your Ancestors (3/5) (All, Fire, Order) 4 ShadoWar (3/5 +3H) (Evil, Fire, Good) Total Cards: 66 + Starting Character Total Weapon Cards: 36 -o-o-o-o- If you want, I can also give you a more detailed explanation as to why each piece is in the deck.
