hey MOther,

did you first 2 posts with the same title get deleted? If so, I'd say you should reword it so the FFG-crew doesn't see them as "offensive"? They are who made the game you really like after all ;-)

and it should be ti3-wiki rather then just wiki.

  Yes, agreed.  While I feel that these boards are a crime in comparison with the old ones, and I have all but forsaken FFG, I think you'll get more interest (and avoid getting deleted) with a more positive subject title.  For example, "Have great discussions at the TI3 Wiki" instead.

 I think part of the reason that the wiki is not chock full of strategic discussions is that we don't have many new people who are asking questions over there.  Most of us who are there have all developed our strategies.  If we have some new blood asking questions, I think the pace will pick up.

Hear that, inexperienced players?!  There's a bunch of old veterans who'd be happy to share their knowledge with you if you just ask!  Go to the wiki!

I vote that you make that the title of this thread. If you shorten it a bit.

 I wouldn't mind if the "old guard" just stuck to the wiki forums.  We might be able to make these boards really interesting.

Once  a PM function works then the boards might pick up more with the PBeM section.  As of right now without the PM capabilities PBeM games are going to stay on the wiki.

No FFG have had the coutesy to not touch any of my posts and while I have been sorely disapointed with FFG's forum policy I do appreciate they have a forum for TI3 - if for nothing else to direct people over to Wiki. Note that TI3 Wiki forums have been getting more hits when googled as a result I suspect of the increased activity there.

And while I find the threads name could be better the forum software does not allow for me to change the title as well as modify my posts. I can only modify for a short while after having posted.

@blarknob you are welcome at Wiki as well. You, old guard and new players may find this post interesting. The thread is titled " I'm annoyed by bubble victories (SO + Bureaucracy)". Its started by Retilion and can be found at: http://www.ti3wiki.org/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1229039726

 Hey, I didn't start it in this thread... and I find blarknob's comment about "making the forum interesting" to be especially funny considering the quality and amount of his own previous contributions.

Blarknob, if you live anywhere near Cincinnati, you should come to Paul Schmelzter's (Paul_Lazax) next "Twilight and Taxes" party.  It's a face-to-face game for forum members that happens every April.  I'd love to see if you could actually look me in the eye and and make those little passive-aggressive remarks, or if you're only comfortable doing that from your computer.

Yes the Wiki TI3 forums rocks which is just fine. Lets not forgot to come and check out the official site once in a while though - they are still working on it and it just might improve some. Besides we do not want to isolate us and so new blood might need directions to our nest all though wiki forum get better hits on google these days due to increased traffic.

I would like to see the PM function on this website.  I still think that the best visibility with newer players come here first and would not mind coming back to the PBeM boards they have here if the PM functio nwould work.  That is the only thing left holding me back from moving to here from the TI3wiki.org 

Now that the speed has been increased to a much more manageable pace (Still a little slow) I do not mind reading up on my games here.

 In times where even the Internet Explorer is capable of tabbed browsing it should be easy enough to make both boards interesting! So don't bother to post over here! Enlarge the community wherever you can! Over and out!
