Satchmo72 97 Posted May 14, 2015 Damage +1 critical 2 hard points 3 price 1100 rarity 6 Accurate 1, pierce 1, vicious 2 The Multi-Cell Utility Knife 14 inches Heavy (MCUK-14H) was initially designed as survival knife for the 501st during missions on wild planets. Those soldiers issued the knife refused to return them. Over the years since their initial introduction they have gained a cult following and their price has steadily risen, often the older knives are more prized than the newer ones. What makes the Gorka special is it's dual vibrating cell technology. A sensor running down the blade detects how the blade should vibrate. When the knife is being used in a chopping type motion the blade vibrates from the back of the blade to the front of the blade. When it is being used in a sawing motion the blade vibrates from the tip to the to the grip. This has translated well to the rigors of combat often generating a solid hit when other vibro knives would only deliver a glancing blow. This is my first time creating a new weapon so please be gentle. 1 kaosoe reacted to this

2P51 32,611 Posted May 14, 2015 1 or no HPs, 3 and the addition of accuracy is OP imo. 2 Grimmerling and Ghostofman reacted to this
Daeglan 5,495 Posted May 14, 2015 Yeah nothing in the design says accurate. Maybe vicious to simulate the better cutting design you described.

Being milirary issue, I'd say no hard points. -EF 1 Grimmerling reacted to this
Simon Retold 1,125 Posted May 14, 2015 (edited) I'm with 2P51. It's a knife. The only melee weapons so far with three HP are big, like the Vibro-Sword, Vibro-Greatsword, Vibro-Ax, and Force Pike. The only "small" item with that many hard points is the Ryyk Blade, and it isn't really THAT small, at 3 Encumbrance and Cumbersome 3. I stayed with 2 Hard Points because it's what a Vibroknife has. So far, FFG has produced three melee weapons with Inaccurate, but none with Accurate. I think the main reason you don't see Accurate on melee weapons is that it's already very easy to hit in melee combat. I'd do something more like, this: MCUK-14H "Gorka" Knife Damage: +1 Critical: 2 Encumbrance: 1 Rarity: 6 Hard Points: 2 Price: 1100 Special: Pierce 3, Vicious 2 That way, it's essentially an upgraded Vibroknife, with both an increased Pierce and Vicious representing it's harder hitting strikes. Simon Retold 1,125 Posted July 23, 2015 I know... I'm dredging up an old post. But this one belongs to one of my players, and I just wanted to add the quick graphic I did for the MCUK-36H "Gorka" Vibroknife. 2 bradknowles and Bishop69 reacted to this
