My First 400 Point Armada List

So I decided to try my hand at building my first 400 point Armada list. The list revolves around Screed and Assault missiles on the ship side. On the squadron side is mix of bombers and Advanced escorts with some interceptors thrown in for emergency response.

1. I like it. Screed's my favourite commander, plus I love lists with many starfighters.
2. With 4 TIE Advanced I would consider upgrading one TIE Interceptor to Fel & Friends. Maybe drop one Intel officer?
3. Your starfighter wing is based on tough ships. That can be a really nasty surprise for a Rebel player who thinks his pack of Nebulons makes him TIE-proof.
4. I think your objectives are suboptimal and your Rebel opponent would benefit more from them than you. Precision Strike: you've 3 ships and 4 bombers - rebels could have 4+ ships and up to 10 bombers. Contested Outpost - Good Choice. Dangerous Territory - I'm sceptical: Rebel Corvettes can outrun your Gladiators.

Thanks. I will look into switching up the fighters and give another look at the objectives. I did consider howlrunner as she appears to boost not only the interceptors normal attacks, but also their counters.

 

It also looks like I will have extra points as I think I will only end up with one intel officer with my purchases.

 

1x Core, 2x Gladiator, 1x Victory, 2x Fighter box.

I'd try and find a way to replace one of your Tie Bombers with Major Rhymer. He and all his buddies can then attack ships at medium (blue dice) range. Which is really really good. Probably my favorite named pilot in the game.

Thanks for the input guys, here is round 2. I dropped an Advanced and 2 intel agents (again, I am pretty sure I will only have 1). I threw in a third interceptor and Howrunner. Even though she is 3 hull, with scatter and brace she might be tougher that an Advanced (we don't have a MajorJuggler on this side of the isle do we?), while she simultaneously bumps my Interceptors to 5 dice ASA and Counter 3.

I also changed two of my objectives. As for Major Rhymer, I had not seen his card, nor has any list builder I have used had it. How many points is he?

You could try something like this;

I would drop Vader(21points) and add Major Rhymer(16points).

 

-You have two advanced squadrons for the escort ability to mix in with the interceptors/howler.

-You then have a nucleus of 5 black dice that are close-medium range as long as you keep them within 1 of Maj R

-394 total points which gives you another ship upgrade or a strong initiative bid

 

I know losing the Dark Lord of the Sith is a bummer, but your adding a ship that enhances every TIE within one of him IMO since you can blast away at ships at close-medium range

Well with two fighter packs, I will only own 4 bombers total. So I will have to upgrade a normal bomber to Rhymer and only have 4 such dice.

Still 4 black dice at close-medium is pretty devastating and you can add an extra interceptor or advanced.

Its not only bombers Maj R enhances it is every TIE within 1

If your going to run howlrunner/MR your squadron list could look like:

 

Howlrunner-16

Major Rhymer-16

2 TIE/Ad-24

3 TIE Bomber- 27

4 TIE/In - 44

 

Total - 127

 

Still gives you 4 for the initiative bid
