X-Wing ABC's

In honour of my Read-Along Star Wars ABC's I had when I was a kid, let's see if we can make our own Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures Game ABCs.

Typically, the read-along book gave a letter followed by a corresponding SW character/theme/ship/etc. and a short 4 line poem. 

Let's begin now ..

A is for A-Wing

 

It's nimble and fast

and super hard to hit,

but made even better

with the Chardran refit.

B is for B-wing

 

The best in the fleet,

it really packs some heat.

But it is so slow

that a single green die you'll roll.

 

Great idea, haha! I taught my wife to memorise the ships from the OT as follows:

A-wing is A-mazing;

B-wing is best;

X-wing is favourite;

Y-wing is dumb.

C is Chewie

Chewie is shaggy and tall

and can be pilot or crew.

He just said he is taller than you.

Decimator or Dash

They all can reduce you

To a large cloud of ash.

E is for Empire

Rulers of the galaxy,
Killers of Jedi,
Join the Academy
And pilot a TIE.

F is for Focus

When you roll those red dice

thinking "I'm gonna smoke 'em!"

Then you roll only eye balls ..

.. and use your Focus token.

G is for Gemmer

 

Sojan he is

a zippy sort of guy.

If you get too close

he just refuses to die.

H is for Hoth

 

Here did the rebels hide

in a race to just survive.

The Empire's forces did attack

causing the rebels to again retract.

I is for Imperial Raider

The Raider has been reviewed for a while,
but no-one expected Juno's brilliant dial.

This new Epic ship is hotter than Elle McPhearson.
I'll bet we will all buy the new Imperial Raider expansion.

K is for Kasshyk

 

A planet of renown

for being the home of the Wookies

For safe travels there

carry lots of chocolate chip cookies.

M is for Mon Mothma

 

The rebel leader

who is wise beyond her years

Orchestrated the attack 

that brought the Empire to tears

A primary target

for any Death Star

because of the fact

that it spawned Jar Jar

O is for Ordnance

 

Torpedoes and Missiles,
Cluster mines and Seismics.
Ordnance can be fun

but it still needs a fix.

P is for Palpatine

 

The senator fooled the jedi

with his dark-side ways

And succeeded in bringing about

the senate's end of days.

This species of humanoid

is green skinned with bug eyes.

And often take bounties

that are wanted dead or alive.

The sarlacc is the tenticled anus
of a desert on Tatooine.
The place where Boba fell.
Again, he'll never be seen.

T is for TIE fighter

 

The backbone fighter

of the Empire's fleet.

But reliance on average pilots

is a path to easy defeat.

U is for Upgrades

 

They don't disappoint,

you can make your ships shine.

By getting extra hull points,

or having them turn on a dime.
