chrisdk 112 Posted May 2, 2015 Hi guys, The Armada Wiki states as the Text of Howlrunner: "While a friendly squadron with Swarm at distance 1 is attacking another squadron, it may add 1 blue die to its attack pool." On the picture of the card it states: "While another friendly squadron with Swarm at distance 1 is attacking another squadron, it may add 1 blue die to its attack pool." http://starwars-armada.wikia.com/wiki/%22Howlrunner%22_TIE_Fighter_Squadron The german card that came in the box also indicates "another" friendly squadron. Could one of you please check and post what the actual card says, since it has implications on whether Howlrunner gives herself the Bonus die or not? ScottieATF 2,867 Posted May 2, 2015 The Wiki isn't an official source for the game. Anything it says is irrelevant unless backed up by the actual card or rules text.
chrisdk 112 Posted May 3, 2015 (edited) The Wiki isn't an official source for the game. Anything it says is irrelevant unless backed up by the actual card or rules text. I agree, but generally it is identical to official material and it is just more convenient for card texts and the like. Edit: Also for me it is the only really available source for the English card texts, what with me being German and everything. Edit2: Also I now fixed it in the wiki as per the replies. ScottieATF 2,867 Posted May 3, 2015 We've seen this and also the Dondonna preview persisting despite the released version having different text. If you've got the card text or rules infront of you, there is no reason to doubt the primary source for the secondary. 2 Ghost Dancer and RatofDeath reacted to this
Ghost Dancer 401 Posted May 3, 2015 To add to what Scottie said, the only thing that trumps the text on a card is an official FAQ/errata.
omegalazarus 16 Posted May 3, 2015 I always get the card info from the ffg site. It is a little cumbersome dealing with the articles, but the officiality is worth it.

If you've got the card text or rules infront of you, there is no reason to doubt the primary source for the secondary. Translation errors have happened before (for instance the german first edition X-Wing rules did not have an obstacle take effect if the template crossed the obstacle), hence I consider german card texts also just secondary sources. If I only have secondary sources available and there is a contradiction I try to get clarification from people with access to primary sources. 1 Kulikov reacted to this
chrisdk 112 Posted May 3, 2015 I always get the card info from the ffg site. It is a little cumbersome dealing with the articles, but the officiality is worth it. Those are unreliable as well. Example is Dodonna who has been changed from the article version to the final one.
