Possible Competitive Kath Scarlet Builds

The way I fly this list is to have the Y wings pin down the opponents main threat while Kath does the dirty work with her Heavy lazer cannon+K4+Expose. Once they have an ship ioned for a turn and are able to get behind it they can do a good job of staying in range 1 of them and simply focusing them down until they either fly off the board or are destroyed. If my opponent is flying is flying a large ship with some escorts I normally have my Y wings double up on the large ship while Kath kills the escorts. Against swarm builds the Y wings become doubly effective as they can fire on 2 separate ships a turn provided they are both in their forward arc as the BTL-A4 upgrade does not say your turret has to fire on the same target as your primary weapons. This allows them to damage 1 and damage+ion another ship. 

 

I don't find that using Expose puts Kath in to much of a risk as often the Y wings can help to control my opponents movement to such a degree that she if often no in the line of fire from most ships. If she would be in danger of to much return fire I simply use evade or focus instead. Bellow is another variant of Kath I am considering trying for increased maneuverability and possibly more damage with a mangler cannon, in order to afford it I simply have to drop one of the astromechs off a Y wing.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be welcome. So far I have run this list up against an Imperial Tie swarm and a none optimized Scum IG-2000 list.

Expose doesn't work with Secondary Weapons. It also isn't actually better than Predator on average, so if you want to keep the HLC I'd go with that instead. I also prefer recon specialist and Engine Upgrade on my firesprays, but HLC+K4 isn't bad by any means. (The warthogs are, well, warthogs. Not much to say about them).

I don't know why people put cannons on Scum Kath.  You want to fly her with her backside facing the opponent for the extra die, so why waste points to booth her front arc?

This, kinda. Give her Outmaneuver, since it still works out her back arc and covers a lot of ground to de-agilitize targets. Can add HLC if you want her to shoot 4 dice at all ranges, front or back, except rear Range 1, where she scores 5, but that's up to preference.

Gnoizic pretty much hit the nail on the head, the HLZ is on her for the consistent 4 attack dice front and back. I hadn't thought to put outmaneuver on her but that might be a better solution than the HLC for consistent damage both ways. 

 

Any thoughts on Opportunist for more damage dice or is it to easy to play around?
