DWRR 898 Posted April 27, 2015 Just pondering... Do you have to bend the tool the full click on each joint if performing a yaw or are you allowed bend the joint any amount up to the click Or to put it another way... Can you make a really shallow turn by not bending the tool the full amount allowed on a single click yaw? It might be minimal degrees of change but could make the difference between landing in asteroids or not... To be clear here I'm not talking about a ship allowed to make 2 turns only making one, I'm talking about a ship only allowed to make one turn making an even more shallow turn... Since the rules say "click the tool a number of times", I think you're supposed to do full clicks.
stegocent 1,052 Posted April 27, 2015 There are only 5 positions per joint. No you can't try and set it half way between 'clicks'
willismaximus 104 Posted April 28, 2015 As convenient as this would be, it's all or nothing. Been plenty of times I would have rather done a slight course correction, but rather am forced to crank the steering wheel as hard as I can. Imagine if cars worked like that?
