Carpatheon 91 Posted April 21, 2015 Luke w/ R2-D2, Lone Wolf, Shield Upgrade Bigs w/ R2-F2, Stealth Device Tarn w/ R7 Astromech, Stealth Device The idea being, take the 2 toughest x-wings to kill, Luke and Tarn, then throw in Biggs to bodyguard them for a turn or two. This list is proving suprisingly tough to kill. Once Biggs dies just split up the other 2 x-wings and see which one your opponent tries to go after. Neither one is a fun choice. ficklegreendice 34,359 Posted April 22, 2015 (edited) X-wing + stealth device = inevitable miserable, miserable failure hell, green dice in general = miserable, miserable failure whenever they don't feel like cooperating. Don't trust them ever as a reliable defensive stat. Not even Luke's repeated "focus" ability will stop them from farting out blanks. Apart from that, Biggs is basically pointless in this squad. When flown alongside the two x-wing pilots that are actually durable, he becomes easy pickings and you'd have spent 4 more points than you had to on a rookie. Yeah, he soaks fire, but he also has the same exact offense as the other two pilots and you'll be losing exactly as much when he bites it. Magnus Grendel 10,578 Posted April 22, 2015 If you want to make the X-wing tougher, then a Hull Upgrade probably does you more good for less points.
Voloch 19 Posted April 22, 2015 I totally agree. The best way to win an X-Wing battle is not to have to roll the cursed Green Dice of Doom.Keep an X-Wing simple, cheap. Until they release an upgrade card for the X-Wing, like a Rogue Squadron Title card, that ship really is mediocre in the current meta.
