I know that hos ability could change like others have from their previews.

None the less I am a bit curious about his ability, and the defence usete against his attacks.

If he attacks a ship, ising his Black die and at medium range, will the attack be categorized as a short or medium attack?

I'm thinking about the use of the evade defence token in particular here.

I'm not sure he is even allowed to use the black die at medium range. Since he is attacking at x range instead of x distance, I would think he would have to use the range side of the measurement device and on that side the black die is only avalible at short range.

I don't have his card infront of me though (obviously) so not sure exactly how his abillity is worded.

Evade token cares about distance to the target rather than what color dice can be used.  Even if Rhymer could use his black die at medium range, the attack is still at medium range, so evade token can be used as per its medium range rules.

One of the Gladiator titles, states that it Can use the Black die in their armament, at medium range if you Can trace LOS to the rear of the target. I would Think the same were true for Rhymers, and those benefitting from his ability, attacks.

It's more or less the same skill he has in X-wing (add one to range when attacking with a secondary weapon).

Ok, Thank you all for your input.

I Think I'll interpret it as ising his Black die, but at medium range for the defence.

Hopefully it will be 100% cleared up, once wave 1 hits.
