I'm trying to play control and getting some damage in. I use master of magic to feed yimfrang then use that to pump all life is prey on my last attack. . Dark bite kills momentum dependent characters. I thought about moving the deck in a different direction. I was thinking about using some of Tira's stuff to get some life gain. Death doesn't have much damage reduction. Duet to the fact that she doesn't remove cards from the game easily it makes playing her a bit rough. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
LordAggro 0 Posted August 27, 2009 Just out of curiosity... What tech is being played against you that requires you to have a playset of Jealously-Guarded Secret? From the Hawk, Alertness is not all that much of a threat, IMHO. How about some Flooded-NIle Throw to synergize with all those Ranged attacks you're packing? It can bait blocks/buff damage for ya... I also think Intimidating Presence will make All Life is Prey a heck of a lot more effective, especially since you run a fair amount of Throw attacks (and to boot, it's usable when Ymirfang is not a wise option). If you do decide to go for Tira*'s stuff, Swing Kick* is a solid addition: it has a +0L block, drains a bit of vitality, can fit into your combo sequence, and most importantly, it's VERY cheap to play. Eiserne Drossel will also help out (yeah, I know the HP loss kind of stings, but it's worth it). You can also check out Oratorio Halcyon as an alternate combo sequence. Shattered Persona is not the most efficient card ever printed, but it's the only foundation that has what you're looking for. I'd say pull Fury of the North, Her own Agenda, Jelously Guarded Secret, and Respected and Feared. Replace them with Flexible Body, Mesmerizing Dance, Brooding, and Covenent Elder (for the block) or Intimidating Presence (for use with All Life is Prey). darklogos 0 Posted August 27, 2009 Ivy has a card increases speed of an attack when they reveal their hand. People use it on that zero speed attack to get it to go through. So I cancel that bunk straight off. Part of my reasons for not playing Flooded nile throw was due to how little damage I was pumping out when I was testing the deck. Most decks were killing me to fast or I got people down to 1 or 2 life before I got k.o'd. The only reason Dark Bite is in there is to kill momentum so I don't always have to use Her own Plans. The question is what attack would be removed to put Flooded Nile throw in? SOrry i'm a bit tired. I cant sleep. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Most people are blocking with attacks and its only good on your ATTACK. Death has no reversals yet so the card doesn't do much. I've played many games with 4 copies of the card out and it not doing a thing. Once people see it hitting the field they just save their action cards for block phase or in their attack phase. If the card was a form it would be in my deck. I don't know why you would want to get rid of Respected and feared since it stops foundations from readying. Looking at Jeaulsly Guarded secret it could be dropped because it doesn't stop the ivy card i was thinking off. The promo that is coming that messes with you when your hand is revealed isn't out yet. So I don't need it yet. What about messermizing dance with a fury of the north pumped attacked? I don't have flex bodies because they are insane costed. Brooding doesn't help me because I can't afford to loose health without health gain. Ivy makes brooding to much a risk with a 25 hp base. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
