Saikyun 0 Posted August 25, 2009 Hello, this is the first time I post a decklist here, I guess comments in general would be nice. I haven't been using it for very long, but I think it's getting better and better. I guess I have too many attacks, but it feels like it's alright when I'm playing. Often I'm a lot more annoyed about getting too few attacks rather than checking too many attacks. I haven't gotten to try some of the cards (like Tower of Rememberance), since I just ordered them. The main thing I'm unsure about is if I should run Chasing After the Power (haven't tried it yet) or not. I really like the card, but since Backhand Axe Slash & Flooded-Nile Throw are both rather important and good, I'm not sure if it's worth splashing for evil. Character: (1x)1x NightmareAttacks: (22x)4x Backhand Axe Slash4x Leg Slash4x Zhao Daiyu's Poison Touch3x Soul Smasher 4x Dark Bite3x Flooded-Nile ThrowAssets: (4x)2x Scroll of the Abyss2x Tower of Rememberance Actions: (4x)4x Invoking the Ancients Foundations: (30x)4x Intimidating Presence4x Corrupting Force4x The Azure Knight 3x Memories that Stain its Armor4x Intolerant of Failure 3x All Life is Prey4x Her Own Agenda4x The Master of Ostrheinsburg What I do is just trying to keep the number of resources low with Nightmare, Intimidating Presence and Corrupting Force. The Azure Knight gives +5 damage most of the time, which is kind of nice with the throws, so I often get to use Nightmare's ability. The throws are also nice with Intimidating Presence. Are people running healing cards where you play? The only healing is Tira's cards. Drop flooded nile throw. It doesn't serve you because you really depend on ranged attacks. Also, I don't really have any better foundation. It's also practical, because it often gives me something to sacrifice. Haha Why should I drop the throw? It deals 4 damage with difficulty 4 and control 3, and it's even a block. :< The problem I've found with this deck is that my attacks are often blocked, so 7x throws are nice. Mordai 0 Posted August 26, 2009 Yea,, some in our playgroup still havent gotten so many b4 cards and they are still running battle prowess and the like... really fun to see their reaction when you react and make them loose that vitality instead ^^
darklogos 0 Posted August 26, 2009 Nile throw buffs range attacks and you don't have any. One thing you might want to think about is master of magic. Because your really not using momentum to much. You are better off with foundation you can blow up without loosing anything you need. Then use Yimfang for damage pump.
Mordai 0 Posted August 26, 2009 Nile throw is still a nice throw even if you are not playing a ranged themed deck.. 4 base damage and quite cheap to play
darklogos 0 Posted August 26, 2009 Oh yeah think about upper claw. Its a good attack.
Wafflecopter2 0 Posted August 26, 2009 I agree with Master of Magic. Free foundations are good! You might want to add some cheaper foundations, just to help you pass all the control checks. Brooding comes to mind -- 1 difficulty, 5 control, +3H block, and it doesn't even commit for its ability

I don't really thing 2 control check is worth it >_< Master of Magic might be a good idea thought. @Wafflecopter: Yeah, I've thought about it myself. Maybe I should go for it. darklogos 0 Posted August 26, 2009 4 Master of Magic makes checks less of an issue. There is also unnatural grace.

Well, I will be using Master of Magic to get resources to sacrifice, not to gather up on. And I don't feel that I want to add any attack (possibly another Nile throw), and I feel that all the attacks I use are already more usefull =/ Unnatural Grace could be useful, but isn't that better when going for 1tks and such? bloodocean 0 Posted August 27, 2009 Go check out the card Tekken forces, might be insane in this deck.
Wafflecopter2 0 Posted August 27, 2009 sshhhh, I don't want to have to fight for mine Sean... after I have 2 or 3 you can spread the word :] I definitely vote no on Unnatural Grace -- when you have it in hand, you're effectively a 5HS character (meaning you can't play attacks OR foundations as well, nor hold as many blocks). And you can't plan your deck with the assumption that you'll be able to use it, because what happens when you don't draw it?
bloodocean 0 Posted August 28, 2009 I already have mine, so I'm spreading the word now lol. Can finally play the nightmare deck now that tekken is out.
darklogos 0 Posted August 29, 2009 You can blow up commited foundations so you can make checks with them and then blow them up when your done.
Saikyun 0 Posted August 31, 2009 Yeah, I guess Tekken Forces would be nice, if I'd be able to get the card.
