Path of the Master 2nd Place, Can Nats 3rd Place, US Nationals 8th Place Seong-Mina

During the season I chose not to post the decklist out of the desire to be seeccretttttt. The deck was painfully simple and really, the whole focus was to land a ira-spinta enhance. If you could do that, you pretty much win. The deck is LOADED with synergy and tricks. SeongMina's abilities work incredibly well in conjunction with iraspinta, creating board, hand, and vitality advantage as soon as you land one.  I worked very hard to minimize the number of 4 checks, double playing spinta and/or Tagalong form required consistant 5 checks with very little board. If people overextended in a attempt to outpace the spintas, I would often kill them on the spot with a Double Played Kuz Reppa. 3 copies of tenacious and 3 evil plans mainboard may seem excessive, but cchax were a huge weakness for this deck since most games were played with very little board and Tenacious could create insane hand advantage if left out unchecked. Oftentimes I would lead into a Ira-Spita with a double or Single Action side pyscho style to deal with problem cards. Against chars like Chun-li I would slow the pace down by using action side pyscho style every turn to commit her, pick it up, play 1 iraspinta then build. The deck remained Religiously at 59 cards so I could find Copies of Ira-Spinta as quick as possible, often I would mulligan for them if playing first.

I know a lot of cards that seem obvious for the deck are MIA. Cards like Counter the Assault, Experienced Combatant, Dormant for millions of Years, The bigger they are were all good cards in the deck, that just werent good enough to make the 59 card cut. Counter the Assault was the card I wanted in the most, but just couldnt fit it. Experienced combatant was terrible for my deck early game, despite being VERy good late game. Dormant was dead too often and the bigger they are was another 4 check I just couldn't make room for.

 

All in all it was a hell of a deck that did a hell of a good job for me. I was sad that I couldn't work it into a playable form for Worlds 2009, but it just had too many weaknesses post bannings in the meta(something I discovered after finishing 3rd with it in the Michigan Regional with a updated postbannings version)

Very mean deck. Very mean deck. This is why Spinta is the best attack enhance out there, Jeremy-Ray-Seong-Mina.
