I may be reading the rule wrong, but is a player allowed to useweapons and armor in the fight. I was seeing Objects and thinking it was a fisticuff,  mind war. Am I reading "too" far into the rule?

"Followers, Spells, or Objects cannot fight in
a character’s place." (p. 7)

I think the key phrase is "in X's place". There is no restriction on what you can use yourself (apart from the normal rules, i.e. 1 weapon only unless Warrior, etc.).

Yes, u can use 1 wepon and 1 armor + followers strength or craft (depends on what you choos) and benifits from spells. But no followers or spells with creatures that fights in your place can be used, but some can fight whit you
