LordAggro 0 Posted August 17, 2009 Considering how Dead for One Thousand Years isn't as useful as it once was, can you still justify having a 4-difficulty foundation in there? It feels kind of bulky to me... I would also trade out Yi Shan's Spinning Backfist for Yi Shan's Tiger Claw... unless you have it in there for its pretty sweet block. I think Dark Past would be a welcome addition to your damage pump arsenal. Pitching 1 momentum for +3 damage sounds like a solid deal to me. Do you really need Journey of Repentance AND Torn Hero? If you want to hose Nightmare*, I find that Regretful Existence provides a much stiffer disincentive (and you are the one who chooses what gets the axe, anyway), and targeted committing is kind of rare (Pommel Smash, Hammer Uppercut, and that's about it), so Torn Hero can fill your needs nicely, IMHO. How 'bout some Stand Off if you can grab 'em? They can either buff/debuff damage (good) or commit your opponent out (also good), so I think they're a solid deal. Apart from that, I'm about good with the deck, it looks very solid (though I'm not sold on Fury of the North, the potential it has with a throw-based character cannot be denied). darklogos 0 Posted August 17, 2009 I dropped dark past because I had a lot of damage pumps already in the deck. The goal was to make it so I wouldn't touch my momentum so I can negate damage with iron body. I looked at dead for a thousand years for control on my opponents turn but that was something I was unsure about the entire time. I have teh anticommit cards in there for all the stun that will be used in block 4. People are going to seek to their control from attacks then foundations more so. I've used fury of the north in my shop in various different ways. With Rashotep and all his other damage pumps it has the potential to make the game over faster. Yes your not getting the insane damage from the previous meta due to you playing with less foundations and the game going faster. But it has a lot of potential when you need to finish a guy. The second concern i had was cards that negate key words. Throw is a key word that can be removed from the attack. So I would need protection from those cards. Rashotep's character card commits him and only hits one card.
