nope, the price scale drops as the most wanted cards are traded off. eventually, the price scale will be next to nothing, but the card choices won't be worth purchasing then anyway,

which is exactly the point of the sliding scale. wait if you'd like but the card you won't pay 10 HP for, someone else might be willing to pay 15 for, and you'd be out the card because you waited to wait. Its all part of the game.
