Da_ghetto_gamer 0 Posted July 18, 2009 So ive got this deck idea in mind i havent started building it yet or do i have all the cards i need yet but its something i want 2 work on as i think it would be a really good deck and fun as hell to play The problem i have is that i dont know how to make it chain better....yeah i havent actually playtested it but it doesnt look like it would do well for playin more then 2 or 3 foundations at a time Any suggestions are welcome so here's the deck.... Wafflecopter2 0 Posted July 19, 2009 Cut down one or two Vibratos -- they're absolutely dead until you have 2 other attacks and means to clear them, which isn't often. You never, ever want to rip 2 in your opening hand... It's kind of an odd suggestion, but Hyoko Sen might not be a bad choice -- it clears itself as long as it deals damage Definitely switch Looking for Peace with Driven by Fear; Driven shares 2 symbols! Military Combat Arts = godlike in Fio. With Fio's form active, it's basically E Commit, discard 2: Your opponent discards 3. Or if they're short on cards, your opponent discards 2 and doesn't get them back. And it shares three symbols. And it's only 1 difficulty. And +2H block. Find room yeah the numbers arent set in stone at all yet so thats why i posted it here 2 get some advice or suggestions if i cut down to 2 vibratos should i add in some seals since im losing two 3cc or is 16 still too many? And i totally forgot about military combat arts ill definitely add that in somewhere. I Is driven by fear really better then looking for peace i guess if my opponent doesnt have a hand then it doesnt matter but destroying 2 foundations seems like a steep cost Also should i switch action hero with whirlwind? Also, try and fit The Bigger They Are. yeah i wanted to add it in but its only got chaos and im trying to get away from having so many one symbol cards but i might try it and see how it goes i guess with more card draw and more cards in hand chaining becomes easier. I wish i had counter the assaults they would be so good for this deck but sadly we didnt get to have a pre-release for the set it came from if anyone has any for trade id gladly take you up on it Also i got to playtest the deck today and it went 2-1 my only loss coming to a Mitsurugi deck running fury of the ancients i just cant live through a string of attacks all getting damage buffs. Wafflecopter2 0 Posted July 19, 2009 You really don't need to worry too much about the cost for Driven by Fear -- if you win that turn, and you typically will with Shredding Vibrato, you just destroy 2 foundations that were already committed, and you don't feel the difference at all. Really I just see it as, Driven chains 2 symbols, and in a pinch you might not have spare momentum that would pay for Looking for Peace. Seals are probably a good idea -- in this tri-symbol deck, infinity tape is always great, and they'll certainly pull their weight negating Tag Alongs or whatever. At this stage of planning, I wouldn't worry overmuch about your checks -- if you're going to run a lot, just be sure you're aware of it, and preferably load your foundations up with low difficulties so you'll still have a very good shot at getting 3+ foundations first turn. Da_ghetto_gamer 0 Posted July 22, 2009 yeah the driven by fears are going to go in because i usually find myself trying 2 give myself momentum with clean freak anyway to power whirlwind and while yeah it clears my opponents hand i usually want to use that momentum to power menuett dance plus chaining might be a little bit easier with those in I also wouldnt know what to take out for the seals yeah it helps with chaining but i dont have any room for any other cards till i trim down the numbers because right now im having problems just drawing vibratos with only 2 in the deck but at the moment thats all i have so itll have to do Does anyone have any suggestions on what to trim down to make the numbers a little better like what to take down to 3 ofs or even 2 ofs? Steel5 0 Posted July 23, 2009 How are you getting momentum with Clean Freak? Your opponent is getting momentum, but you just destroy a foundation. I would definately take that out for something else. It's not the most efficient way to momentum, but the card is still awesome. what he said lol but my main problem is that i dont really need momentum for anything past what i need for menuett dance and usually i dont even use it what i really need is a way to give a damage boost to shredding vibrato i was thinking about greeds influence but its other effect isnt very useful since i like to ready foundations....does anyone else have any ideas on damage boost in my symbols?
