Imperial lolz - Living on the Lamb

With all the AutoThrusters and Phantoms and Fat Han builds, I wanted to see how a 3-ship large Imperial build would play out. So I got to playing around and came up with this list. I don't think it's going to be tournament savvy, but it could be some serious fun and shenanigans!

 

It's got girth. It's got control. It's even got potential for some damage.

 

 

Bounty Hunter — Firespray-31 33

well, if you're not going super competitive you can feel free to go nuts

 

I don't think shuttles are great control ships, though. The dial is far too limited for you to reliably draw the arcs that you'll need to get those all important shots off, which is probably why we see tactician Bs in panic attack but no imperial variation.

 

If you just wanted to run 3 large imp ships, then I believe Buzzsaw shuttles (just FCS + gunner) are the way to go (I personally enjoy them more than any other shuttle build, anyway). If you want to run imperial control, imo Tactician Firesprays will probably be very solid due to it working out of both arcs (and you can run two tactician Bounty Hunters and V.I + Thrusters Thurr with a 2 point initiative bid in case Whisper is still scary even after the errata).

 

So, through my pure personal preference, I'd reconmend you try

 

Bounty Hunter (Ion, Recon) [39] (ion should help out the poor shuttles)

Omni (fcs, gunner, tactician) [30] X 2 (tactician isn't a guarantee by any means, but the possibly gunner double stress is just too sexy to pass up)

Note: isn't it weird that the ship we see escorted by two tie fighters in the movies is itself now an escort for a firespray ?

Another route you could take if you're interested in control is Kath Scarlet. I have a few builds I want to try with her, such as

 

Kath (Ion, Calculation, Tactician)

 

or

 

Kath (Mangler, Calculation/V.I, Tactician)
