ctsparky 33 Posted March 25, 2015 (edited) So I did a quick search and most of my results focus on heavy syck's or with Serissu ( which I'd love to have in this list but can't fit her) So the list is Cartel Spacer x 7 (98) I like the Syck's for the fact that they have a great action bar, are similar ti Tie fighters, but with a target lock, and instead of having a hard 3 they have a soft 1 turn. So do you think this is a viable option? Do you think dropping a Syck and putting in a Serissu and then putting in 2 Binayre pirates would work? Cartel Spacer x4 Serissu Binayre Pirate x2 other thoughts just on the build itself... Thanks for your opinions. heychadwick 11,354 Posted March 25, 2015 Sure. Just 7 Academy Ties is viable. These guys are just like that, but their first hit is a shield. I like the TL on these guys and think people underrate them. The second list could work. She would be targeted primarily, but that can still be OK. ficklegreendice 34,359 Posted March 25, 2015 Scyks don't have the raw jousting levels of tie fighters if I remember right, so I doubt 7 scyks will be as viable (especially since 7 ties can afford howlrunner and some upgrades, including V.I howler + backstabber + mauler w/4 academies) If you want to swarm, I think Zs are more efficient in terms of raw statistics and access to feedback array gives them an answer to high agility that naked Scyks can't get I love the little Scyk, the most adorably tiny fighter in the game, but I don't think I'd run them in many multiples. They strike me a lot as A-wings, great in small quantities as all around excellent ships thanks to a great action bar and amazing dial, but not very damage efficient. heychadwick 11,354 Posted March 25, 2015 Why don't they have the raw jousting levels of a Tie Fighter? Their stats are almost identical, but you get a shield and TL for 2 extra points. If it's 7 vs 7, I don't see how the Scyk comes out behind.

I'm not sure how juggler factors in shields versus hull considering the complex probability surrounding critical damage, but I'm not convinced the shift is worth 2 points in raw jousting value alone (the rest of the value probably goes into dat dial, potential upgrade paths, and the fact that you can't get Tie Fighters in S&V so it's really a massive upgrade over the Z-95 in terms of mobility rather than a minor one over the tie fighter) as said before, it would be 7 on 7, it'd be 7 on 7 including howl runner and some potent tie fighter characters or 7 scyks on 8 generic tie fighters. The +2 points per ship ramps up really quickly. again, love Scyks, but I don't think they're an ideal swarm ship. If it's 7 vs 7, I don't see how the Scyk comes out behind. If it's 7 vs. 7, the TIEs either have Howlrunner or higher PS than the Scyks will. If it's the cheapest version of the ships on each side, those 2 extra points per Scyk add up to an extra TIE.
WWHSD 9,273 Posted March 25, 2015 (edited) Of the two lists, I like the one with Serissu and the two Zs better than the 7 Spacer list. As long as her ability gives you two evades you wouldn't have had (but needed) then it was worth the 6 extra points you paid for her instead of a Cartel Spacer.
