Amanal 2,557 Posted March 19, 2015 Not too sure but about all you want is a simple paint or illustration program. Well at that price, that is all you want. I beleive GIMP is the google search you want. 1 FangGrip reacted to this
FangGrip 1,060 Posted March 19, 2015 Not too sure but about all you want is a simple paint or illustration program. Well at that price, that is all you want. I beleive GIMP is the google search you want. GIMP, Open Office, and Scribus are what I use because I don't have the cash and the desire to purchase Adobe products. Maybe if they were more reasonably priced for a private citizen I would, but acrobat alone is silly. PowerPDF is pretty darn good instead - it isn't free, but is reasonable. As to the actual question, you may want to look at hexographer as well. There is a free version and a inexpensive paid version, you can import a background to the map and use your own symbols. It wont be gorgeous, but it is fairly easy and quick.
theclash24 137 Posted March 21, 2015 Piece of paper and a pencil. I sketch out my maps than on dry erase board reveal each section the PCs explore. Dry erase board big enough for players all to see and place their player magnet on.
Amanal 2,557 Posted March 23, 2015 As the OP plans to play on-line pencil or pen and paper isn't quite the solution you were looking for.
