Any successful Yt 2400 builds?

I'm looking for a way to use my Yt 2400 and I'd like to see what people's most successful Yt list are.

I've been having luck with Dash, Lone Wolf, Navigator, HLC and Engine Upgrade...  Swapping the HLC over to the Outrider/Mangler Cannon when I pick up Scum & Villainy this afternoon :-)...  But dance through the Asteroid Field, getting to change up your speed and with the Boost or Barrel Roll, you should have plenty of options to move around and hopefully avoid blockers/dodge arcs.

I've seen the generic YT pilot with Outrider title and HLC do well with the Dash CREW.   The idea is you hide behind the rocks, it keeps them away from your range 1 spot, and with crew and HLC you get range 3 shots through rocks they get zero bonus.  If they return fire you are rolling 4 dice for defense.    It's pretty sweet.  And i hate it.

2x Blue Squadron Pilot w/ Advanced Sensors

 

Leebo with Determination is a great combo. Crit? Pick two cards, if one is a pilot, no crit and no damage. Very fun build to fly.

Wild space fringer - lando

3x blue squadron B-wings

 

The 2400 lasts til late game and dances through the asteroids rolling focus/evade or double evade from lando and just pisses everyone off. The 3 B's just crush anything needed to start. I was rolling with the HLC fringer, but I hate dropping 7pts on the cannon and 5pts on the title for those 4 dice. That's an entire Z-95! Now, the mango w/outrider is definitely a thing and I might actually try super dash rocking that thing.

 

Super dash - PtL, engine upgrade, outrider, mango cannon, kyle katarn crew (I think it's 55 points?) Pretty ridiculous getting 3 actions w/kyle giving you a focus.

I ran a similar build, I used Dash as the pilot though as I hadn't used him. I also used Lone Wolf, Chewbacca and Assault missiles. With the blues I experimented with Recon specialist in one and Lando in the other....Lando unimpressively rolled 6 blanks in a row which I got pretty angry about. 

As always I started badly losing one of the blues pretty quick and the shields went from the YT very quickly so I was glad to have Chewie! I stuck in for the long game though and managed to get behind his shuttle which swung the game.

See for me if you're not spending the extra 12 points for teh HLC/Outrider, you're paying 34 points for a 2 attack dice ship with 2 more hit points than a B wing. I think I'd rather just add in another B and upgrade them at that point, but that's just me.

I do understand that, but I will say I like a couple things better than another b-wing. It has 2 green dice stock, which you can get up to 3 easy by gliding through the rocks or staying at range 3. Turret, now a 2 dice turret isn't much, but it is still a turret. Corran Horn found out the hard way that a 2-dice turret can hurt. I got 2 hits through from r3 and through a rock (2v5 lol) and then got into r1 and rolled 3 hits, which he whiffed on. Staying at r3 against Chiry and you're doing more damage to him (with focus up) than he is to you due to his 0 evade dice and your 3. Use your ps2 ship as a blocker for your B's too - this goes against my stay til late game idea, but different games you adapt in - and then light up whatever is there actionless with your heavy hitting small ships.

 

Not the best ship, but I feel it carries it's weight IMO. I just LOVE the 2400. Super fun to fly. I also love it paired with B-wings, so it doesn't have to be the star of the show rolling the HLC turret.

 

I was playing Leebo for awhile with chewie in the 1300 and just got fed up with PS5. So lame. Getting blocked but not shooting before stuff you need to? Just frustrating.

Garven

 

You always move in formation, put the WSF in front of Biggs (even by using barrel rolls when necessary). Garven can provide an extra focus for attacking purposes on WSF or Biggs, or a defensive focus for Biggs against PS5- ships.

 

I haven't thoroughly tested it yet, I only have a couple of games with it so far, but it seems solid if you make the right choices.

I’m thinking about Running this build for the sheer amount of health and attack power (the sacrifice is bad maneuver dials and low PS)

There are probably better builds that are similar to this. But I’m doing this one with only using the sets I’ve bought which are 2400 freighter, ARC-170, and the OG core set. I still think it’s a solid build.

Edit: If I can get my hands on Sabine’s tie, an even better build than this would be the same YT-2400, Norra Wexley flying the arc with Lando in the crew seat, plus veteran instincts, R2D2, RO title. Finish the build with Rex flying tie fighter.
