CthulhuChild 0 Posted February 17, 2015 The rulenbook talks about "controlling" a token, where a token is controlled when one side is adjacent to it and no enemy is adjacent to it.The logical question: Can you interact a terminal that you do not control? IE, can a smuggler perform skill checks to hack a computer that a storm trooper is literally standing on top of?If such interaction is possible, can the imperial player really do ANYTHING to stop rebels from rushing objectives, other than by surrounding them with enough guys that ending a movement adjacent is literally impossible (because otherwise they will just bull-rush through enemies). Not understanding the rules for interacting with objects is, obviously, causing difficulties in our games.
Fizz 986 Posted February 17, 2015 Yes, a figure can interact with a terminal as long as he/she is adjacent to it, unless the campaign mission/skirmish map specifically states "Control" is required to Interact. As to stopping the rebels, oh my yes, there are many things the Imperial player can do to stop the rebels from rushing objectives. My personal favorite is concentrating firepower on a rebel so they think twice about rushing an objective without first ensuring safe passage.

Nothing says "Deal with this first" like an E-Web Engineer (regular or elite) with Show of Force, Sustained Fire, and Fire at Will. If you activate it last in a round and then first in the next one, you can get four three-dice attacks and two four-dice attacks, all with high accuracy and good damage. They can taste several rainbows in quick succession if you set it up right, like I said.
