How does Front guard work ?

Hi we played our forst game on saturday and had a blast, However this card came under discusssion. It allows you to, when you advance to attack twice. Can these two attacks be broken up with movement so that you:

A.Move, attack, Move ,attack

A normal advance would let you.

B. Attack move.

C.Move Attack, Move.

D. Move attack

The way we played it  A. was not a vaid move using this card, is this correct ?

Advance = 4 movement + 1 attack, divided however you like 1 move, attack, 3 move, 2+attack+2, etc.

Advance with Front Guard = 4 movement + 2 attacks, again, divided however you like, 1 move + attack + 1 move + attack + 2 move, etc.
