Daeglan 5,953 Posted February 11, 2015 I wouldn't think they would do 2 pheromone races and they have a pick of the gotal and faleen which pretty much says they will be there. 1 RLogue177 reacted to this

Starco 16 Posted February 11, 2015 I just looked at StarWars.com and in its FFG preview for Feb it says this will be available on the 26th. Pretty cool to see end of Feb penciled in. It also has three bigger pictures (2 from Lords of Nal Hutta, 1 from the cover of Fly Casual). The shadowport looks very very cool. http://www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-fantasy-flight-games-preview-february-2015
RLogue177 1,521 Posted February 11, 2015 Upcoming page has been updated to Shipping Now. Expected arrival date 20 Feb. Dang, that was fast. They did the Pacific run in under 2000 miles. So many clever people on these boards. I love you guys. 1 Doc, the Weasel reacted to this

DeadBothanSpy 146 Posted February 12, 2015 I wouldn't think they would do 2 pheromone races and they have a pick of the gotal and faleen which pretty much says they will be there. For the same reason they probably won't do two horned races, which means no Devaronian, even though this would have been a good place for them. I'm thinking the species are Falleen and Gotal, based on the promo artwork, and the third species will be... Kubaz!

HappyDaze 10,142 Posted February 12, 2015 I would be very happy with Herglics, but I suspect we might see Sullustans in this one. 2 RLogue177 and DeadBothanSpy reacted to this
DeadBothanSpy 146 Posted February 12, 2015 That would be at once obvious and disappointing, the latter only because so many of us already have the Sullustan stats if we have the Age of Rebellion core rulebook. FFG has shown, however, time and again that they're fine with repeating species in different game lines to accommodate players who only play in one sphere. With that in mind, the Sullustans are the most well-known space-faring race not yet represented in Edge of the Empire.

While they have reused player species before, I don't think that it has been that often. It may increase with the release of more splat books for AoR & FaD, but it seems to be low so far. How many have been repeated so far?
SavageBob 1,389 Posted February 12, 2015 I think six species have been repeated in more than one source (if we count Droids): Bothans (EOTE, AOR), Droids (EOTE, AOR), Duros (AOR, Enter the Unknown), Gran (AOR, Far Horizons), Humans (EOTE, AOR, F&D), and Twi'leks (AOR, F&D). You bet your britches Wookiees will show up in an AOR splatbook down the road. And I'd expect Mon Cals and Sullustans (if not Ithorians) to make the jump to both EOTE and F&D. 1 DeadBothanSpy reacted to this

Desslok 13,574 Posted February 13, 2015 Hard to get excited about the new book when I don't have the old book (um, current book - the hutt one) yet.
DeadBothanSpy 146 Posted February 13, 2015 7 days to go and still no reveal on the species I was thinking about this today, and I may have come up with another candidate for a new playable species. The latest Age of Rebellion book introduced the Xexto, a species with four arms, granting it additional opportunities in maneuvers and actions. Since a lot of careers, specializations, and talents have parallels in both games, I started thinking that Edge of the Empire might be do for a four-armed race. And while I would love to see Pho Ph'eahians show up in the Technician book, I have an easier time envisioning the Morseerians show up in Fly Casual. Utsanomiko 171 Posted February 13, 2015 I'm perfectly fine with repeating species from other core books in new supplements under one condition: If it was included as a 4th* species. Being limited to three species per supplement is easier to enjoy if one of the isn't a repeat, and getting one as a bonus would be great. *Personally I'd have insisted on at least 4-5 species per supplement and 10-12 per core book, but then again I'm not the one paying for the page counts. 1 DeadBothanSpy reacted to this

Maelora 5,808 Posted February 13, 2015 (edited) Well, I guess we got ONE species that we'll actually use, along with the usual freaks. How did that one slip through? Ugh, I shouldn't be sarcastic. At least we got something this time. And the Specialisations look good. Edited February 13, 2015 by Maelora 1 Richardbuxton reacted to this
DarthGM 2,337 Posted February 13, 2015 Did we already get the Falleen? I don't recall if we did or not. Nope, all three are new (to the FFG ruleset). And I will use the ever-loving bejesus out of these guys. Falleen will make for flavorful nemesis and rivals, Gotals for unique specialists, and who doesn't love the cthulu-men? 3 DeadBothanSpy, dougansf and SavageBob reacted to this
